<div class="IPBDescription">My uber map</div> Ok I am determined to get into mapping. With help from fellow mappers I have updated my map. It has fewer resource nodes and is bigger. Please note this only has one hive so far. I will probably try to make this part of the map before I draw the rest. Any comments on my map?

and....? I can probably meet the quotia, but if I go one or two nodes over how can it hurt?
EDIT - I looked at the link and it says GENERALLY have 7 to 12.
The marine start and adjacent rooms are near done, Ill try to get some screenshots when they look presentable

LOL, it really does light up the room!
I find it difficult commenting on your map as it is, it's not detailed enough to show exactly how it'll look, and it's not complete enough to show how the gameplay will be. I suggest finishing the layout, or just a rough sketch of the intended layout. Imo that's a very important part before diving into Hammer.
If I had to say something I too see a lot of resource-nodes. It's.. difficult judging the scale and such so it may not be a problem at all, it just <i>seems</i> like there's a lot of them already.
Let us see the whole layout. ^^
