If your gonna break the rules, then so will I. Here's a link to a spelling checker. Might not be a bad idea for you to start using one. That post was almost painful to read.

    85 Pounds:
    Approx. 195 CDN
    Approx. 135 US

For this money couldn't someone get a decent dedicated connection to their house? I don't know local prices(I live in Ontario) but I figure you could get something decent for about $200 a month CDN.

I do notice NS servers to be quite high in price. Hopefully 1.1 will reduce this cost drastically!

    thru is spelled through.
    wasnt is spelled wasn't
    wot is spelled What
cos is spelled cause (and incidentally, should be "because")
I won't bother even mentioning the substitutions of single letters for words (oops, guess I just did)...

I see no reason why someone that want's to provide hosting will use short words, It doesn't look good ;/

I pay just about half of what you're charging to have a business-class cable connection to my home. I get 4 meg download, and 1 meg upload for that kind of money... so I can download pr0n while there's people playing on my server. I have to provide my own server hardware, but with the money I save from having someone else host me, It's not a problem.

UK cable (assuming you can get it)

    residential 512k/128k = £25
    1mbit/256kl = £35

business same as above but add £100 to the cost. (Your basically paying for a SLA)

ADSL costs more than cable for less bandwidth. (add about £10 to the cost and 1mbit connections arn't avalible)

Leased line, say a T1? approx £1500 install + £1000 per 1km between you and t he exchange. approx £1000 a month for line rental.

Is the business cable close to "dedicated" as you get before switching to say some form of DSL? How good is the service for running a server? Is the u/l and d/l unlimited? Just wondering where you are located as well.

    Thanks,

GRR... I don't know if it is against the rules to post ur server's availiability, but I am pretty sure this is the wrong place to do it. I know its the NS Servers Forum but this is for help, you should try over at the CALeague forums, they have a lot of ppl trying to get their servers rented.

The ultimate factor in picking an ISP; will I be able to download pr0n while hosting a game of NS? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
