I uploaded some screenshots there...becasue I'm lame and can't find anywhere else to serve things <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Its really a fun map...all of the players/structures/etc. glow bright blue, as well as some borders to help see where corners are and to help navigate around

I would make a download but tripod doesn't let me serve wierd file extentions

just give me some opinions based on the screenshots, which are pretty crappy quality if you ask me (again...tripod doesn't give enough space to upload full .bmps so they're .jpg)

help on said serving problem would be appreciated

    You should put it in a .zip, i think tripod will let you upload a zip file.

    Ow! That hurts my eyes! I will never play this map for the sake of my cornea!

    Also, don't you think we already have enough "fun*" maps? I see a triple resource node spot there, and I get the feeling that it isn't the only one.

    <span style='font-size:7pt;line-height:100%'>*Fun meaning lots of res for both sides with no need to fight over resources.

    If you made the blue parts glow it would look like it was from Tron.

    1. Your not the first to say it hurts eyes...I've been trying to get the brightness to a place where it doesn;t hurt eyes and stays blue enough to see things.
    2. I haven't seen any fun maps like this
    3. Your not supposed to fight over res...it's more of "fight when everything glows"
    4. It does look like its from tron

    yeah hehe, it does remind of of TRON.. You should use some more TRON-like textures, or mayb some of the textures from the Ricochet mod. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I could see where a map like this could be cool. Glow-in-the-dark sort of map, like you'd find in laser tag or seomthihng like that.

    BTW, for the signs for joining alien, marines, random, etc., tie them to a func_wall, set the render mode to additive and amount to 255.     it could be a very cool fun map if you would make tiny whits ( blue ) stripes to see where you are going ,not ?

    have you downloaded it yet? I thought it was ok with the borders the see where rooms ended and others began.     avoid like the plaque:
    monochrome Red,Green or Blue lights.
    Even Tron has many white places.

    A monocrome light just makes the other 2/3 of your textures (colors) pitch black and boring.
    Monocrome light looks unrealistic (like Tron).
    Instead of "0 0 200" use "10 20 200" for much more atmosphere and realism (not like tron).

Well, I agree... give it a try... but I believe the brightness of your lights is at a level any tiny bit of green and red would turn the lights into white <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    ...some day people will begin to convert half-quake: amen maps to ns...

    You read my mind! I was gonna make a really sadistic ns map one of these days...should be fun >)

    And I did try the colors thing, even at 1 1 255 it doesnt leave the same effect, it's too white

    I think I did something to fix it but what I did seems to escape me right now....

    Edit: I think I turned the lights purple just to see how it would look...
