Workshop: Commanding - Beginners

<div class="IPBDescription">Want to learn how to command?</div> .21L. is proud to present an opportunity for beginning or completely unexperienced players to learn how to command.

<b>When:</b>
Saturday, April 5th
3-5PM Pacific (Session 1)
and
7-9PM Pacific (Session 2)
* Server will be locked promptly at 3 and 7 PM.

<b>Where:</b>
64.3.130.4:27015 - .21L. West Coast T1 NS1.04

<b>What will be covered:</b>
- Familiarization with buildings and upgrades.
- Interface, waypoints, communication
- Basic strategies, including
* building placement
* troop movement
* build orders
- Communicating with soldiers
- A mock game situation

<b>Remember to bring:</b>
- A good attitude
- Voice communication highly recommended
- A good attitude.
- Friends

The maps to be run will most likely be ns_nothing and ns_nancy.

Other members of 21L will be on hand to assist as well. No RSVP necessary - advise you to show up 10 minutes early at least. Hope to see you there!

    Had enough people for a 5v5 game. A few were 21L - one 'helper', and the rest were learners or friends of.

    So I'd say 5 or 6 strangers showed up.

    Played a mock game for the second one with alltalk on, answering questions etc.

    I think that workshop was a great idea and I think there should be another. It's the best way to learn and the more players that know how to play the better. I would be willing to help if needed. Ofcourse if anyone really wants to learn we can always get a group of people together and go to any empty server and learn.

    WOW!!! This was a genius idea which fixes 2 of the major issues people have with NS

    1) New players not understanding the game (new concepts etc)
    2) Experienced players who get cheesed off with the issues point 1 brings up.. (not knowing the maps etc)

    Hope you have another one soon, I rarely comm so I might also check it out..
