<div class="IPBDescription">about NS music</div> Will we be seeing any more contributions from Jeremy Soule in 1.1? Ever again? That would be so awesome, because as is, the music really doesn't last that long. Meh, wishful thinking. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> Is there a chance?

Excuse me but have you read the sticky on the top? There will be lots of new features in 1.1 besides new maps.
I interpeted material in an other way. I considered stomp and other changes to aliens as new materia. I didn't consider that you could mean it more exact.
Seems like it never goes well when I'm hasty on the trigger. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Will try and do better <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
PS. I noted that Kenichi is in a group called "veteran". What is this?
the he will create all the music we will ever need <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
but anyway, yes, that mans music adds atmosphere that blows me away
we need more!

To my understanding, there are some new maps and of course the updated maps.
Then, we have things such as new models for the grenade launcher that are due to be out with 1.1. I think there may be other new/altered models.
As for What a "Veteran" is, this quote from Flay's post of April 7th might help you out:

In other news, NS v1.1 goes into testing for the first time this week. The playtesters will get their hands on it first, and will give all the initial high-level feedback on the new features, the new resource model, etc. Once all the huge problems are out of the way, it will begin playtesting with the newly-formed "veterans" group. This group is made up of the most skilled competitive NS players in the community, along with tournament and ladder organizers, and a few game theorists. Then it will move on to the beta server operators, who will make sure this new version has improved performance, compatibility and is server-friendly.
Together, the playtesters, the veterans, server ops and the NS team will make sure that NS v1.1 plays great in public play, organized play, and everywhere in between.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
