Okay, when you're playing marines on ns_ninja_fall, do some of you guys have troubles getting to the hives before your JP runs out of gas? I do, I always run out before hitting the water and I fall to my death, how do you guys get up there?
Haven't played the map, but my quess is that the others have better FPS than you do. If your FPS is 90-100 all the time, you can fly as long as you want, but when FPS goes under 20, you can't fly very long
Oh, and this bug will be fixed in v1.1
Yes, I have played it. Once. Exactly. It's yet another experiment in When Skulks Hit Terminal Velocity.
But as for your question, I suspect you aren't giving your jetpack time to charge up after you receive it. Make sure that the power bar is all the way full before you attempt to go anywhere. That goes for all maps, really.
i actually usually take off within a second or 2 after getting my JP when we have things to do... if you have good fps your jetpack should usually charge up as youre flying if you do it correctly. i'm not talking dinky light-jetpack use maps either. i do it all the time on missilecommand and stuff. i'll usually just filling up on juice a little after reaching the hive
I take it your trying to fly up from anywhere. Try this trick, works well for people who dont hit the constant 100fps. Run to to a wall till you're fully pressed against it. Then while facing foward NOT UPWARD, jump and hold down the key so you start flying upward while the whole time looking directly AT the wall and keep on pressing foward.
This also works on Misslecommand. You can go to the very top from marine spawn and still have some fuel left.
No i havent.
