It's a good read, but I can imagine that many possile newbies will be a little bewildered as GH has forgotten to get a decent introduction done.
Also, the interviewer is asking a lot of specific questions - I'm happy about this, but whoever doesn't breathe NS as much as this community does won't be able to follow :/

...but for those of us who think about this game every waking moment... very good. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I second that Spyder. I am a tad fed up with questions like "What is NS" and "What are the teams", whereas this goes more into the team and the procedure involved with making NS. Very nice.

There is already a lot of material telling newbies the basics of the mod.  It's nice to have more indepth information.

An altogether excellent and very informative read.  The prospects for Flayra's script system seem quite interesting, and will hopefully speed alon NS's release.  Baaaah can't be too much longer now....

OMG excellent stuff!  Great stuff really, i was really motivated!  Though flayra was really "emotional" during that interview by how his mood seemingly changed.

GH: Anything funny we should know about the NS team members?

Flayra: Not really, we’re quite boring actually.

Wow, that is long... Awesome, awesome interview.

    One thing though:

<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td><b>Quote</b> </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"><!--QuoteEBegin-->There’s an idea in the pipe about the future of NS, but I can’t talk about it yet. It involves another project built on top of NS that would expand it’s possibilities endlessly.
    <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Woah...

About that, Ken, I think there have been mentions of it.  Something along the lines of persistence, I believe, which would be cool. (note: I know nothing)

And that certainly was an interesting interview, no doubt.

    Agreed.

But seriously though, persistence how?  Like a continual online world kind of deal?  That would be so incredibly groundbreaking...  Man the mention has got my hopes up, which is a bad thing cause I might end up being dissappointed.  But persistence?  That would be INCREDIBLE!

Glad you guys liked the interview.  If anyone tells you know what's coming after NS, they're lying.  I don't even know, I just have some vague ideas.

maybe in the future NS will be on the Quake 4 engine(doom 3 engine basically.)...

Who knows, only flayra does..  Who knows what may lurk in that head...

NS in a persistent world would be about the coolest game I can imagine, but I hate paying monthly fees......  Anyways, I enjoyed the interview too.

One of the commander mode shots - the computer room with the catwalks over the top of the monitors (I forget which map ):  ) - looked absolutely unreal.  BEAUTIFUL mapping job, and the commander mode shines.

I just read that interview and it inspired me to signup here.

That interview really really inspired me, which is rare of anyone.

btw someone was saying how it could be confusing to someoen who doesn't eat sleep breathe NS.

Well can I just say then that it was all the details being combed over that really made me think about the game. Details are where it ceases to be generic. Also following wasn't a problem cos anything I didn't know what it was talking about I just made up which means I probably have a better view of the game right now than it might be, but then again I am sure when NS does finally get released I won't be disappointed at all.

If nothing else I smiply love all the NS textures.

I found the interview quite interesting and informative.  It's nice to find out what the creator of NS thinks about his brain child.
