Problems With Voice Comm

<div class="IPBDescription">Can't hear people using voice comm</div> This is the 3rd time installing NS, and I love it! But there's a major problem, I can't hear people over voice comm, and this has, sometimes, gotten me into a lot of trouble (not banned, thankfully). Anyways, I'v gone into the options, and turned on the "Enable Voice Comm For This Mod" setting, turned the receiving volume all the way up, but I still can't hear people. Nothing else is taking up my sound at the moment either. Any clues on how to fix this?

    I am having this exact same problem. Though i have noticed that when I join a team and there is someone currently speaking, i can hear it for a split second, then nothing else for the rest of the game. Voice works in all of my other mods. It's very frustrating as I have been kicked/admin killed/slapped etc because people don't consider that someone might not have voice enabled. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    If it is too quiet then type in voice_scale 2. This doubles the volume (i think its logarithmic rather than linear so it might not be double) that you receive the comms.

    Heya boog, post your /ns/config.cfg file here and we can see if there's something set incorrectly (like voicerecord set to 0, or something).

    Change that ^

    To this

    voice_modenable "1"

    That should clear it up.

    In TS= The Spec. The dev's didn't let you just bind it in controls. So my friend and I went in and fix both our config files. Now we can talk in it! But only we can hear each other. That might be the voice_modenable thing.

    once this download finishes i'll give it a try
