I like small games because they are less stressful and usually both sides really are messing with each other and trying to have some good fun. There isnt usually any base rushing so the playing field stays level the whole way.
That's just my two cents of course, everyone has a different way of playing.

The main "advantage" of not wearing your tag is people won't lick your boots just because you're an admin. So then I Really made fun of him and got kicked. I hate killfox that abusing admin. O then i showed up on the server another week later and with a great sigh. he left right when i got there.
Another fun sneaky thing i see sometimes in small games is building an armory under the hive then spamming nades like mad. Poor aliens cant touch you without blowing up their own hive.

welcome to the loop. I've been baned before for winning too much. Generally we get called cheaters. It's very common umong clan players. Good ones anyway. Do what we do and take it as a compliment, "wow your gonna ban me? wow i kick ****"

Now usually we kick absolute bottom when we're on the same team (so we're not always on the same team for obvious reasons!), but the first time we hit the server with clan tags on ns_eclipse comes up and we're like "weyhey let's see what we can do".
Only one word to describe what happened to us.... Trounced
Very strange though, because when we all get together the other team really doesn't last long at all. Ever. It's not really happened since, but for some reason we just couldn't work together as a team, there was no leadership structure (like there usually is).
Quite hilarious looking back at all these tbh really decent players getting pwned (me included (in the pwned bit not the really decent players))
well we got tramped by uncarapaced skulks, our group movement was poorly structured and we had no real objectives either set or met.
The aliens played well, but we simply didn't own the map as we should have done in the first few mins of the game, and from there with our lack of direction it was all over quite soon <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I played a game where we were 1-2 minutes away from winning. The admin who was on the losing side, team slayed us for winning.
In his defence, he said the teams were unfair, it was 6 v 8. I said, "why didn't you say before slaying us?" He responded "I shouldn't have too, I must be the only one who looks at the scoreboard."
After informing him that he approached this totally the wrong way and that he had issues, he kicked me.

Sometimes its the most outlandish and strange tactics that work. Often the unnoticed marine can destroy a whole alien team.
