Feedback - PLEASE use more than 1 texture. I am assuming it's supposed to be a fun map (not serious) which is the reason for the excessive rt's. You need to give people some idea of what you are trying to get accomplished. If you are going for a real ns map, you have a lot of work to do. If you are going for a fun map, I'll have to see how it plays (although the more than 1 texture suggestion is still strongly recommended). The ready room was quite promising. Try to make your whole map that detailed.
-Your map is b|tch @ss ugly. -Your map runs like $hit.
Don't take it personal, but that's a lame map. If you really want to improve it, here are a few things you could try working on:
-KEEP THOSE R_SPEEDS UNDER 600 (especially since your map isn't pretty, it should never go above 500) -Use more then 1 texture. -If youre going for a "fun map", the gameplay has to make up for the lack of story, atmosphere and looks.
If you are serious about mapping, keep it up and good luck!
yeah i really didn't care about prettyness, but it's fun to play. i never checked r_speeds cause i didn't think they'd be bad since i wasn't adding details and such.
IMO, you should ALWAYS care about how your map looks. For example, compare my map <a href='http://qsfan.8k.com/files/blastbox.zip' target='_blank'>Blast Box</a> to any other DM killbox style map. I actually made that map as a kind of benchmark for what should be "The Bare Minimum" for the level of detail that should go into any map/any mod. Mst people agree that the extra level of detail put into it raises it above just another killbox, and actually makes it more fun to play. At least, that is what I've been told.
Fun / Serious maps: all maps should be fun, weather they are serious or not.
I have not viewed you map yet, but I will tonite when I get off work, and then I'll try to give you a little more feedback.

No, Eldritch has a point. People don't like to download maps or models without a preview of what they're getting, especially if their connections are slow.

It´s very bare in form of texturing and every wall is, just a wall. But i like it because aliens actually have a chance to defend against jetpack rushes because of the walls surrounding the hives. Lot´s of dark hiding places and it´s not as open as, let´s say the Siege series of maps.
