Strange Ambient Blue Lights

<div class="IPBDescription">Please help.</div> Okay... I just ran a new section of the map with lighting rendered, and there seems to be a strange problem. About 80% of the map has a unwanted ambient blue light. There doesn't seem to be any discernable pattern, but I am sure I am missing something.

<img src='http://www.yutt.net/withlight/withlight1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
You can see that some random sections of texture seem unaffected, but the exact same texture touching it is.

<img src='http://www.yutt.net/withlight/withlight3.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Once again, some textures seem impervious to the blue light.

<img src='http://www.yutt.net/withlight/withlight2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Other rooms are completely blue.

<img src='http://www.yutt.net/withlight/withlight4.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Not everywhere is lit, there are some, once again seemingly random, portions that have no light at all.

-I have <i>zero</i> blue lights on this map, there are a few yellow lights.
-Some of the rooms with the blue light problem have no lights at all in them.

If it was caused by blue lights I somehow accidentally placed that are completely undetectable, the lighting wouldn't be so uniform. And if it were some sort of minimum light level or ambient lighting there wouldn't be the unaffected faces and areas of darkness... right?

Can anyone help me out here? It would be very appreciated. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I think it's something to do with your compiler. Maybe you are compiling with Ambient world light.

    Check for this in your paramiters: "ambient 0 0 1"

    Is that a moon in picture 3? Could it be some kind of special effects coded for the skybox you're using? You are actully running your map in NS aren't you?

    But, what parameters are you referring to? Explicit please, a lot of this is new to me. ::blush::

    It is a moon, but not from a skybox, it's a 'func_wall_toggle' with a 150 Additive Render mode to look like a hologram, it is not set to any color and there are no windows in that particular room.

    Edit: Yes I am running the map in NS... why do you ask?

    check the entity report for light sources. (map- entity report)
    check the lights.rad for light sources.

    At last it could be an error with the used textures wich makes them reflecting blue light only for no rational reason.
    post the compilelog.

    I had already checked the entity report for any possible blue lights I wasn't aware of. Also had already checked lights.rad just in case the textures happened to be listed. Found nothing in both cases.

    Here is the log.

    I suggest you remove the wads your not using, and try using the hl.wad so CSG can find it's long lost clip texture.

    This may not fix your problem but...

    Well, you seem to be experiencing an obscure error, so maybe you should remove some wad files.

    Just use less different wadfiless - make a custom wadfile that includes the textures used in your map!

    Well... I am not sure how the number of WAD files listed in the Worldcraft configuration would make an ambient blue light throughout a large portion of my map...

    But, it does. I removed a few I wasn't using and the blue light went away. Remember, if ever you have strange or obscure errors, remove some wads first.

    Thank you all <b>very much</b> for you help. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
