Rpg Elements Wouldn't Be Too Bad.

Yes I know the front page is an april fools joke but the rpg part actually wouldn't be too bad. For example, It would be really good for customizing aliens if all the upgrades were individual and not dependant on what stuctures were build. This way you could have one alien with cloaking and another with carapace but not both at the start game, instead of everyone using the same thing. Marines could have something similar like heavy weapons specialist, light weapons specialist, repairer, builder etc that added small bonuses to aim, reload rate, build time etc.

It would probably be hard to balance but overall it could be cool. Anyway i'm not trying to submit an idea here, just wanted to discuss possibe rpg elements.

    at one hive, the aliens have 2 maybe 3 resource towers, and that 70 resources would probably go best in another hive, and not an onos w/ just it's "bite" attack.

    Don't dismiss it out of hand (nice avatar btw, Kid). At present the only way of establishing a rep as a good plyer is just that, a reputation. I don't even know if CLQ incorporates NS, so maybe the idea of of keeping one "character" or "playerfile" isn't bad, I'd like to see situations evolving into wild west boothill type stuff.

    I didnt mean RPG elements as in persistent bonuses or anything, otherwise players that play alot would get too powerful for the average player to beat, I just meant as in abilities you could choose at the start of the game to further customize your character. Like I mentioned before you could have a Heavy weapons specialist who gets like a 10% bonus with the HMG and a 10% penalty to the LMG or something.

    o i hope 1.1 will change the gameplay..i liek to paly gorge but if you mess up and your the only gorge your team loses...and so on, and your forced to be skulk and suicide

    This is something i would like to see in ns. Something to make marines rely on each other a little bit more.
