<div class="IPBDescription">and save everyone the trouble...</div> Ok, lets set some things straight here. It may be me venting but it will hopefully save everyone the trouble of locking, Nuking, and making the threads in the first place.

Point one: As most of you know by now. Today is April 1st. April Fools day. If you fell for the news-update then shame on you, because its a big fat lie <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>

Point two: I am seeing quite a few "concerns over Electric TF" threads. The thing is, most of us are content that NS is being added too and have faith in the changes that Flayra is making to keep NS fresh and enjoyable. Simply posting your "concerns" on the changes that the dev team spend their time making, is kind of rude. I am all for good and bad points over the changes, but all i seem to be reading, is that you THINK the change will be bad. The thing is, the only information you have been given is that it does damage to aliens that make contact with it, and you are thinking of it as it would work in 1.0. The change is one of MANY, and so what may not possibly work in 1.0, may well work in 1.1

What about those of us who are not American? Personally I just got up here in Aus, so it is perfectly acceptable for me not to know it was April Fools. Although, surfing webcommics tells you soon enough with that whole "swapping" tradition they have going.

Oh, you also left out that these "changes" have not even been playtested yet. That means that all this talk over them is meaningless. You can't express your concern over <i>minor</i> changes that NOBODY has experienced. This is a <i>balance</i> change. You cannot give a proper analysis until you've seen it in action. You can guess, but I'm pretty certain Flayra can guess just as well as you can. The kind of changes you can whinge about before playtesting are the kind of mammoth changes described on the front page (though God help you if you complain about THEM). Only these completely game changing things can you have any reason to comment on unless Flayra says "So... what do you think about <i>this</i> idea?"

I haven't seen that happen... have you?

... I get too much pleasure out of telling people what they should and shouldn't do... is that a problem you think?

I personally don't like people whining about the electrified TF, becuase all we have is speculation, and the only concrete evidence from Flayra is "we might electrified TF in 1.1" we should we judge wh@ we don't know? NS is Flayra's project, and only he knows what he wants, and we can wait until NS takes a step closer to his vision w/ 1.1, and then pass judgement.

Geesh, I thought this was a pretty well-written post. He makes a good point about there being about 9 threads posted each day asking "OMG will teh elektrofyed turrent factroy b 2 hax0r 4 teh aleins??!1~". Just let it come in 1.1 and then if it's a terrible idea or unbalancing, then you give them feedback about it.

Flayra's been planning this game for a long time,he's not just pulling these ideas out of his ****. Have some faith in him here, people.

I agree with Duff-Man (and you too, SuperNorn :-). I mean, even <i>if</i> Flayra is pulling these ideas out of his *ss there is a little group of people I like to call "playtesters". These "playtesters"... well, get this, they test the game! I'm sure Flayra wouldn't implement something that ridiculously unbalanced gameplay without running it through a few hundred games with "playtesters".
