<div class="IPBDescription">some commands just dont work</div> Our new server (dominant evolution, www.trendytroopers.net/de ) doesnt seem to want to run some commands. I'm not the owner, nor did i set it up, so i dont really know how it was set up. I do know that it runs out of canada (maybe thats the problem), and it runs on a windows machine (2000). It has adminmod. Anyways, many commands dont seem to work- we can change maps, kick, say, etc, but none of the cheat commands work (spawnhive, addcat, etc WITH sv_cheats on), along with some of the NS variables (ns_seigerof, initialpoints, etc). Perhaps im being an idiot, and theyre fixed now, but we've tried these with AM and rcon, to no avail. Same with some of the mp_ commands.
any help would be appreciated, just dont bash me too much- i havent had much time to test exactly what is going wrong, dont run the server, but i do know a little about running a server...

Don't know too much about the cheats...but as long as it's enabled properly, it shoud work fine. I don't know of many ppl actually running cheats, so maybe adminmod has some conflicts with it? Who knows...

TBH - you need someone who is experienced in running servers that you trust to either join your clan or help you out. Mainly because this person would need to see your server configs to tell you what is going on.
Maybe it's running v1.0? I think some of that stuff may have been introduced in the newer versions, so make sure it's updated to 1.04.
Are you sure cheats were on? "admin_rcon sv_cheats 1" assuming you have the necessary adminmod access level, or "rcon sv_cheats 1" assuming you've logged into rcon correctly. Then you just enter the cheat in your console; no adminmod or rcon stuff with it.

"ns_seigerof" and "initialpoints" are not valid NS vars.
BY THE WAY, please refrain from quoting <i>the entire post</i>. Why? WE HAVE ALREADY READ IT. Why must people insist on making me crazy?! Jesus, someday im going to have to just tape my shift key down.
If none of your cheat commands worked, it's natural to suspect that cheats were not properly enabled. What proof do you have that cheats were enabled? Did a single cheat command work?

Removed in 1.01. All of them. The only "ns_" variables that were preserved were ns_eastereggchance and ns_authicons, and those prefixes were changed to "mp_" in 1.02.

What I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem, or had any ideas about why so many commands dont work.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Because either cheats are not enabled, or you're doing something else wrong. If you're still having problems, please post the exact commands you're using (removing passwords is fine).
We can go from there.
