I guess I'm finally getting decent at this game. It takes me a little longer to learn things, but I take my time and try to help out. I was playing on G.I.Joehosaphat's House (24.60.213.90:27015) and I was actually doing good. Dropped a hive last game, even though we lost. Then when we restarted I killed the skulk rush. The teammates got most of the shots in, but I got the finishing few. Then I got kicked, the marines lost. I didn't get a reason, even though I joined and asked repeatedly. The admin was there, (GIJoehosaphat), but no reason was given.
*shrug*
No hard feelings, the server seems to be newbie friendly, so check it out if you are new to the game. There are plenty of other servers out there, I just wanted to rave a little.

I like when theres an admin on the server, physically. Not necessarily playing because they sometimes do get angry when they lose and abuse their power.
I dont like marines, but I was one the other night, and Was running into a vent. Skulk bit me, I turned and killed em. Now im accused of using the vent xploit. Which all the skulk has to do is hold crouch to negate. it was some clan A4L. Probably anal 4 life. Anyways, they were all abusing their admin powers. Avoid server Id suggest.
Anywho, you sure that someone didn't kick you off because of reserved seats, admins, etc. That's a factor, too.
Then I proceeded to explain his error and how to remedy his problem. He didnt want to hear it. So I gave him a good visual image that he disliked and proceeded to boot me. I can email the screenshot later if youd like <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->.
Key is, just cursing at someone holds no meaning. They dont take it literally anymore, like suck this. And what not. Too common. You gotta use some adjectives and what not and force the imagery into their head. Mwahha!

I guess that's just **** because I'm sure a LOT of people play better than me. Especially non-regs of my servers
[EDIT] im just not getting the grasp of biting a marine.. i go right up to them, chomp a few times and they dont die? is there a trick to biting marines? do i have to "lag lead" or something? [/EDIT]
Listen out for the bite hit sound too. If you're not sure what I mean, walk up and bite a wall mid game, you'll hear it.

Players (if they are not the server owner) should not be made admins until they have a good knowledge of NS and a good attitude towards gameplay... If they are harassing other players with admin abilities just because he/she is losing, then the admin should be kicked <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->... They are ruining people's NS experience and driving away potential players... If you're an admin with an attitude problem, you should not play on your server or not host at all...

yea i was on a server the other nite where an admin would make people get out of the comm chair if they took it before him. he would also say "if you break the glass your gone" indicating if you broke the glass where aliens can get in, you would be kicked. and that same admin built 4 CCs to block a doorway and 2 to block another... that is a waste of res and is really **** if you ask me <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

its a very good sign that ppl accuse you of cheating, esp if ur not.
got accused of wall hack or something because i happened to look round a corner and see a marine trying to hide in the "Darkness". try it urself. Get a m8 and start a game on ns_nancy. now, ur m8, the marine, hides in the red tunnel from no-name just in the corner nearest the other red tunnel (if you see what i mean). As a skulk or any alien, head from port engine, come out of the red tunnel and look round the corner into the other tunnel. i think you will agree that you dont need any wall hack to see the marine crouched in the corner
i also got accused of "wall hack or he is a pro-gamer" (<-- i wish) on tanith because i looked up after passing through a doorway (on the way from base to satcomms) and saw a skulk, which i shot and killed. the accusation was there was no way i could have known there was a skulk up there unless i had wall hack and hes right. i didnt have mt or wall hack and im certainly not a pro-gamer (though, if there is anybody out there who would like to make me one, just pm me and ill give you my contact details <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->) so, why did i look up there?
Simple. as a skulk, i hide up there to ambush the marines. it makes sense then, to look up there as a marine. i think you'll agree with that one...
infact, the best way to get good at playing marine is to play skulk (if you see what i mean)
i was wondering too because when they would die with hmg they would just come right back with heavy armor and hmg..
is there something i dont know?
