Windows Xp Thing
<div class="IPBDescription">"low disk space" warning</div> Yeah, if you have Windows XP, you'll notice whenever you have low disk space a little thing pops up from the taskbar and says Warning! Drive C: is very low on disk space!
Does anyone know if there's a way to turn this off? It bothers the hell out of me and im too lazy to burn a CD right now to clear up space.

Absolutely. Click 'start -> shut down -> reboot', and put a bootable Windows 2000 cd in your cd-rom drive. When it boots from the cd, follow the steps as they're shown on the screen.
And there you are!! No more "Warning! Very low disk space" messages, no more 'idiot-proof' menus, no more redundant wizards (<i>ie: "You inserted a floppy disk!!"</i>), and so on.

1) <a href='http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp' target='_blank'>Download the XP Powertoys (or at least TweakUI)</a>
You should already have these. Everyone with windows XP and enough brains to figure out how to post on this forum should.
2) Launch TweakUI and click "Taskbar" to the left. Viola, you can disable the low disk space warning from here.
3) Dig around all over TweakUI, cause you really can change a lot of different things in XP w/ this. Very cool. Like get rid of those damned ballon tips and the Shared Documents...
And now, the smart-aleck joke:
Buy a bigger hard drive! Olololz
