<div class="IPBDescription">Ok, so I know this has been gone over...</div> Ok, I know you guys have stated various way to set things up and blah blah blah, but none of them have worked so far. The Soundcard is The Philips Seismic Edge and the mic is Labtech Axis-502. I know the mic works, that isn't the issue. My previous mic was the USB mic you get with SOCOM Navy Seals for ps2, it worked just fine, but sounded like crap. In other programs when i use the current mic, it is crystal clear. I have run the voice setup utility numerious times, I have no lag, I have both the boxes checked, The TrackerUl.dll issue i'm still pondering over. I believe i fixed it before by changeing GameUl.dll to TrackerUl.dll, but i need to verify this.

On to the problem, Choppy, on-off-on-off-on-off issue with the mic. I hold the key down, it looks like i'm talking the whole time, but the actualy received msg blinks on and off.

If anybody coule walk me through a step by step process to fix this, I'd appreciate it. (yes, the latest driver versions are installed.)

Thank you!

sounds to me like your FPS are too low. Alot of my clannies have this problem esp when they are in the comm chair.

turn down your graphics quality (in windows) and you'll be better off.

Ok, so i turned my windows setting down to the lowest, the NS settings down to the lowest, and it still happens. ummm... I knew that wasn't going to do anything cause i get avg of 60-70fps when there's stuff going on. well, I'm working on it. thank you for trying though instead of jsut looking at it and moving on like it seems alot of people do. thank you for your help. Anyone else? (i've updated all drivers, i've tested on Ventrilo, everything works except for in game.)

What's the operating system? And would we be correct in assuming the mic plugs directly into your sound card (not a USB mic)? Finally, what type of Internet connection do you have?

I don't have a direct answer, but maybe if we get some of the above in the open something will occur to someone.

Bind it to a different key and try it. voice_loopback 1 in console to hear yourself. pageup and page down are known to do this and maybe some others as well.

ok, binding to different key, tried many times previous to this. the OS is win98se, connection is cable, usually i ping around 40-80. voice_loopback 1 i have done as well, to test out many different solutions. yes it does plug into the soundcard. the mic works on ventrilo, recording, everywhere else. i did the setup many times. The usb mic still works, the newer one that i'm trying to get working still doesn't. i appreciate your help once again.

I'm also having troubles with my mic... I know it works because I play CS and it works just fine for that, but in NS I will be like-"Hey, can anyone hear me?" and noone will anwser... I also haven't seen one person with a mic in NS... I don't know, it might just be me.
