1. I have noticed a lot of hype about this mod and i was wondering if there was a past release, otherwise why is there such a hype?
2. With all of the other mods, like CS for instance, would there be some sort of cheat protection? If yes, do you think that ogc might find this mod interesting? Because i would worry about things like that. (maybe its just me)
3. I have seen the design maps for this and they look VERY NICE. I just thought I'd ask how you thought this mod up, hehe.
I know im asking quite a lot of questions, but you dont have to answer them. I dont mind, but if you do wish to answer them could you answer the one about the cheat protection :-).

3.) Im sure that Flayra and Friends will be glad to answer that. They have before. From what I know, it's been an (Cough, pun) Evolutionary process with a lot of time (years) of incubation inside Flay's Brain Box. Some of the ideas have come from people like you and myself, contributuing ideas in the forums. The basic principal is pretty much Flayra's brainstorm. I'll let him elaborate in more detail if He so desires.

2. Valve's cheat protection, and if it does become a popular mod, hopefully all the PunkBuster-likes will design anti-cheat software as well. Flayra may be planning his own personal version of anti-cheat stuff and has just never told us (it'd be smart not to publicize it). Dunno.
3. The maps are designed by community members. Or do you mean design docs and game info and such?

one day while Flayra was *experimenting* with certain things, he was playing starcraft, before he knew it he was playing CS, after time they sorted of melted into his mind and he began to tell everyone he knew he has been playing this cool RTS FPS game. Well much to his disbelief, it was merged memories of SC and CS, before you know it, Flayra wants to make NS.
Motivated with his buddies LSD and POT he will show all his miraclous dream.

The existance of the hive mind/motion tracking will make wall hacking near-obsolete. The game is designed with the fact that you can see people through walls (and even all the way across a level) in mind. Heh, it's practically a cheat coded right into the game. But since everyone has it, it's a level playing field.

They released the tech map release and you can play SOME maps on there and check out the RTS system its pretty cool if you are going to burst with anxiety. I know i musta built a million turrets just to keep me entertained <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> . It was rather ammusing actually, especially since I didn't know what to do with the bots. Anyway get the map release pack it will quench your thirst for NS. Also about cheating in the game I think it will be as frequent BUT not worse than CS. Sure there will always be people who cheat but every NS server should have a cheat protection, NONE SHOULD BE WITHOUT! Even if it doesn't block certain cheats it still scares the people who use them. LONG LIVE CHEAT PROTECTORS!
PS. Don't you find it wierd that CS and SC both have C and S WOW!!!!!!!!! I AM AMAZED
