At least, that's what it looks like. I never find any of the regulars on this board playing on their respective servers. Do ya'll play under pseudonyms or somethin'?

Anyone know how to run a dedicated server thorugh a router?
The point is that you never know what server will fit your needs until you play on it, and people pimping their servers as the best means nothing at all.
I feel that Narfwak's advertisement is acceptable, and on-topic. "Visit any NSAF server for consitent quality and fun!" is hardly proclaiming that they're the best. Narfwak's ad is little more than a rewording of the NSAF mission statement. I have a hunch that you would have reacted differently, had the ad been for something other than NSAF...
We are being a banlist control group primarily. We will have a code of conduct for admins but thats about it. This server rules thing turned out to be hog wash and a real turn off for sysops.
We want a good structure so we are discussing many factors such as our banlist software that whothem wrote for us, how bans and unbans will work and who has the say it in. When this is done, more servers will be accepting of NSAF because we aren't so anal....and you don't have to change your hostname either.

I didn't know I was complaining. I just stated that you can also check around and find servers that are as well if not better.

LOL Grim, I never seem to find much time to actually play ns. So when I do its usually on my own server. The only free time I will have in the enxt little while is about 2-3 months I will have off after an operation I must get soon. Maybe then I will have the time to actually play ns enuff to play on other chi servers.

I've never played on another server than my own except to help someone check out thier plugins...

But I (and the regulars) decided to do the clan thing. So we are now renting a server.

You can usually find the regulars on evening and weekends. I have stats (via Psychostats) and admin mod. A number of the regulars have admin privs to keep the peace (and server llama free).
However, I am still having a heck of a time getting the unstuck mod to work on the new server. Oh well....
