I'm Upgrading My Comp..

I'd love some help
Well, I'm looking for a nice video card, hopefully one that can run NS easily, at the moment I lag in games with more than ten people in it.
I have about 100 dollars to spare, so something in my pricerange would be wonderfull
I'd go out and buy the most expensive one I can afford.. but I'd rather get one compatable with FPS games. Thanks ahead of time for any response.

My system doesn't like the newer games (it's a wee little Athlon 650), but that deficiency is due to my slower processor speed.

What exactly is a slower processing speed? I've got 1.3GB intell celeron processor, would that need an upgrade aswell?

IMO, a processor speed beyond 1GHz is overkill for most uses. It's at a point where it's no longer the system bottleneck. More memory and a faster hard drive (7200rpm and/or 8mb cache) will usually do more to speed up your system than a processor upgrade, and a video upgrade will usually give you a few more fps.

Damn. Well, that's much better than I was expecting for $100.

Well I have no clue what so ever what my current video card is.. but I know it's crap.. I can only run WC3 in the lowest of all options, and Half-Life is barely playable in anything larger than 800x600 resolution.. and even then I lag when there's more than 10 people close to me. I'm really hoping that a new video card will improve this
