Marine "go To Guy"

Get one
Last night i was playing ns_eclipse, and i decided to try something. After a few minutes, we were heading towards eclipse command (hive) and there was a guy on my team which was pretty much always going where i put waypoints to, and he wasn't armory humping.

So, i decided to hold on to him as much as i can.
I was always on his track (looking at him) and giving him ammo and health, and then i said, "You're gonna be my "go to guy." When i'll need something done, you'll be the one to do it. k?"
"ok" he replied.

He built me RTs and TF and every building i spawned. he did and went everywhere i asked him to.
Towards the end of the round, pretty much the whole team started to follow him and caught on.

At that time, the aliens had 2 hives (maint and core) and fades were starting to attack eclipse.
I keeped spawning him health and ammo along with an HMG and a jetpack.
I told him to go to the core hive and weld their hive while the others attacked maintenance.
5-6 minutes later, the aliens had lost and both hives went out almost at the same time!

We changed maps and switched places on ns_hera

So in resume, get yourself a buddy or a complete stranger who looks like he knows what he's doing and goes/does things you want and hold onto him. Lot easier then trying to convince a group of armory humpers to move out of the base

If I have a waypoint I get one more clip, if I don't have any waypoint I get full ammo.

armory humpings pointlesss - ive only survived about twice long enough to actually empty 5 clips into enemies not structures and still be alive....

i hate seeing noobs armory hump for 20minutes then run out of base to attack a fade and die before 20bullets have been spent..

I can amass a good ammount of followers... mainly because they are the only ones to get toys like HMGs and welders...

I would hate to Comm teams like that, i only comm on a server im a "regular" on because i know my team will in general be good marines who understand the game and obey orders.

Usualy , i never leave base without at minimal 2 extra clips for each weapon 50/100 10/20

I use my pistol befor i use my LMG, so i get pistol ammo to =x

But yea, if we're loosing a base or a hive , ill forgot ammo and rush the phase gate.

I've had pretty much the same experience when commanding. If I find a guy who works efficiently, goes where he is supposed to, gives me good ground intel, and follows the plan, I give him whatever he wants or needs and support him audibly so other players will get the message. I try to be a "go-to guy" myself when I am not commanding, keep my eyes open for others who are doing the same, and pair up whenever I find someone worth fighting alongside. Then I put good players in my ASE favourites list.

I've actually gotten to the point where I usually use up most of my ammo, and have to ask the comm to give me more. Early on in the game. I'm usually ordered along with a few others to go to a place, build, and then defend while otehrs are building. I usually pick the defend part, and with skulk after skulk charging in trying to kill me and my buddies, ammo goes by quickly! And this is even after I get full ammo! In order to survive longer I chew up massive amounts of ammo instead of bursting and conserving,
