Visual RT Bug?
I've noticed (as many of you have) that there is a problem with the nodes in HOLO ROOM. Its a double node room but most of the time you can only build 1 RT. Ive managed to build Both Towers on occasion (as aliens and as Marines) And I noticed that when both towers are builts the +x Resources message only appears over 1 of the towers. Is that room still a double node? Or is building 2 towers just a visual bug?
Comments
It's possible to make them both, but they won't be totally lined up.
I know u can build them both, but do they both give Res?
You click the RT just outside the upper right of the node, not on the black texture of the node itself but on the texture of the floor.
Node->[o o]* | <-Railing
*Click RT here in-between the Node and the Railing on the Floor Texture
Hope this helps.
Ok this sounds werid, it does not mean to look away from the monitor while building.
It means that the node should not me on center of your screen...
As Gorge it perfectly works on any map when you look AWAY from your node, just standing close to it.
(Some custom maps having LOTS of nodes really close to each other)
Since 1.04 Gorges best build the resource nodes out of their ****, and Commanders with one eye closed
as marine this exact spot

as alien you just sit on the railing and drop it.
Now once you've accomplished this you will realize that all your hard work was for nothing. It doesn't provide any res at all. I was playing a game with Monse and he told me the dev team shut that node off. Maybe he was joking but he did defiantely tell me that.
I mean, they didn't change the map, so unless they coded in serverside not to have that RT make res...
meh.

Actually, you can do it from the ground, just stand against the ramp.
Secondly, I JUST tested this in a little LAN game.
Marine start res only- 2 res per tick
Marine Start+"res 1" in holo room- 3 res per tick
Marine start+both res in holo room- 4 res per tick (sustaned, meaning it wasn't flow over from the 3.blah blah from the 2)
It DOES give out resources, it just doesn't have a +1 animation. Test it yourself if you want, I myself as a comm, will continue to get both

Did you use the latest build of the *server* download?

Yes, I have 1.04 installed to host games

Exactly what I said:

Thank You! You addressed my question! It seems both nodes still give Res, even though only one ticks away the message
