<div class="IPBDescription">And why the NS community completes me.</div> I'm not very popular at school, something to do with me being polite, and not speaking a made up language, and so i have trouble 'belonging' there.....But here i feel right at home, and i feel like i belong at last...The NS Community completes me.. so thanks dev team..Anyone else shares this thought?...or will you cast this away to off-topic? <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

Good for you, im glad you found a place you feel comfortable in. Many people never find a place they can truly belong. I take pride in being part of many online communties and real life ones. I feel the same way, Super. While I'm not in school, I'm not all that 'popular' in real life either. I have my family and my close friends, and they are great... but I dont really need a large group of friends, it seems it would detract too much from the close ones I have.

Its nice now to have a community, and to have the internet/highspeed/gaming to bring me and others like me together. I know, not all of you are like me, but some of you are... there are qualities we share, and we defintely share gaming interests. And thats cool.

I used to also get a great deal of support and a sense of belonging from online communties(I was a mudder.) However, may I suggest finding activities outside of the bounds of school to develop other communities? In my case, I started getting invloved with the local fencing and dance clubs. If your peers aren't providing the friendships you need, look elsewhere. School is so artificial, go out into thre real world and make friends. The NS community is a good place to start, but there's something to be said for hanging out with real live people. Outside of school, your traits will be respected. The difference is truly amazing.

MMZ started out as a Q2WF clan, and evolved into a huge clan of 303 active members! MMZ decided that games come and go, and meeting eachother in RL was more fun anyway. We have semi annual get togethers, on alternating coasts. We game together, chat together and party together whenever we can. We also try and support each other in RL as much as possible (2 people even met and are getting married because of MMZ), others have gotten jobs, crash space and advice about RL from the wide array of nationalities and age range of our members. It is truely amazing. It's one thing to sit and chat online with people, and completely different when you meet in RL and realise how different and similar you are. Quite the social experiment.

But yeah, the community of this game seems to be well established, and quite passionate about supporting the continuing development of what is turning into one of my favorite games. I also know what it's like to have one of those days where you feel shunned by the world, or at least think you are.

If you want an example of a great community surrounding a videogame, visit www.sierra.com, and see the Starsiege or Tribes 2 forums. Those guys have been hanging around one another for years, and they're a tight-knit group beyond reproach. Starsiege hasn't received any support from Sierra in close to.. four years now? Yet the people remain, and play the game. As well with the folks of Tribes 2, but hey.. that's just a cool game, too. You think jetpacks are overused -here-, well, lemme tell ya..

Although it'd be fun to pit a lerk against a hoplite with his fabled disc launcher. That'd be a sight.

Anyway, don't let the world get you down. Don't argue with idiots, either. They just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience anyway.

i have real nice friends, i have internet friends from forums that is nice, i have friends on the net that feel like more then just a net buddie...
i have meet 1 on icq in real life... i have meet 3 from a forum that i went out partying with just becaus my friends doesn't like my type of music so i went with them instead...... i'm going with them on tiesto when he come's to sthlm in the end of the month too..
