Hehe, my CD player is hooked up to 4 speakers in my room and my computer is in the living room. Plus I need all my senses concentrating on picking up the click of Skulk feet, so my NS playlist would have to be empty <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Hmm, can't be bothered listing mine - it's a mixture of ambient techno and movie soundtrack stuff, but I was wondering what util you used / where you found the SC mp3s, LockNLoaded.

Lots and lots and lots of Hybrid. I have a lot of their live sets recorded, so I'll just play through 2 or 3 of them a session.

    Though, the best <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif'><!--endemo--> 'ing music has to be Mindless Self Indulgence <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Why do you listen to music during the game?
  • Paranoia2MBParanoia2MB Join Date: 2002-11-09 Member: 7832Members
    ^^^

Because we like to. I try not to put any loud songs in there if I can for obvious reasons <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Hehe

Most of the time I dont ever hear my music list because the music only plays when you join in right before the game starts.

Also if you are doing a skulk rush and have a bad **** song playing or something from Sn4tch, it feels pretty good hehe, live or die on that rush. It was still d*** fun lol.

but, like many of these poor farmers, i cannot afford to be running winamp and HL at the same time. heck i even close explorer.exe, and my start bar and desktop dissapear while launching the game. (windows shell uses 13 megs of ram i like to free up)

I put my whole collection of "Amon Amarth" into the NS/music folder. I renamed them to "nselec00x.mp3" and now it works fine IG.

works just as good as with the original ambience background music <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I never listen to music when I play. I've always thought that it kind of distracts you especially when comming in NS, and my opinion was strenghtened by a round where we lost the CC because the comm didn't hear the attack warnings - he was too busy listening to Yngwie Malmsten (and apparently had a horrible taste in music <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

However, there just isn't a more suitable song to accompany a good HA rush than <b>Panzermensch</b> by <b>And One</b>.

    <i>"COMPUTER, MASCHINE, PANZERMENSCH --- geh g?radeaus - geh g?radeaus
COMPUTER, MASCHINE, PANZERMENSCH --- geh g?radeaus - lass es raus!"</i>

Personally I dont listen to music while on NS, (unless i've forgotten to turn the radio off), but i think classical music is being over looked here - it would mostly be either good through being atmospheric (Wagner etc i'd guess would be a good general example) or totally ironic and thus good (nice and serene whilst prancing round biting marines in the kneescaps).

makes a change anyway (tho i cba to try it and see how well it fits) <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

i just happen to love Slayer. As a matter of fact...my clan name is Slayer. I choose a metal name because originally our clans genre was metal. Sons of Metal is our clan. I have to listen to boondock marines before I play NS. Its kinda like a ritual for me.

Gridlock is amazing indeed. It looks like your minidisc-Gridlock is their first album, titled "The Synthetic Form". I've managed to get my hands on their second disc, "Further", which is even better than the first one.

If you haven't already, try Dryft. It's a sideproject of one of Gridlock's members. Somewhat more d'n'b-like stuff but with quite unique sound. You can get his newest ep "The Mytotyc Exyt" , for example, from <a href='http://www.adnoiseam.net' target='_blank'>Ad Noiseam</a>.
