    the hive i would say it would have to be the Egg like in starcraft with karagin or what ever her name was (zerg fourm) in side of it

    So who's interested in skinning my gauss rifle? I know Mercatorn said he's available for skinning, but I'd much rather he worked on some other goodies if hes got free time. ;)

    I feel like maybe trying to tackle the marine model. Maybe we can get some people to work on sections so the work gets done faster. Just gotta make sure we're all working on the same reference, or else end up with Quasimodo. ;)

    Theres a Terran Marine model in .3ds format that I found. Its about 18000 polies I think and also includes a Gauss rifle. I think it'll be a pretty good reference picture.

    Well, i cantr model or skin or anything but i can sure give u guys some ideas. Make sure to add SC sounds to your pack too. like the stim pack as health pickups. Or the gun sounds. And zergling bites for skulk. Ect. Ect. Ect.

    as for building units ect.

    Ip= Mini barracks - iffy idea
    Armory= ??
    TF= Mini war factory??
    CC= mini ( thing scv's take crystals to.. i forgot)
    Turrets= maybe a Goliath top half?
    RT= Vespine refinery

    HA= Reg marine
    LM= Ghost
    JP= Firebat
    LMG= (Ghosts gun?)
    HMG= Gauss rifle
    SG= ??
    GL= ??
    WElder= Firebat flamethrower?
    Knife= SCV arm?




    Skulk = zergling duh
    Gorge= Drone?
    Fade= Hydralisk duh
    Lerk= Mutalisk?
    Onos= smaller form of Ultralisk. ( would be hard to get proportions right)

    Most games and computer systems can only handle about 2000 polys (per model) before the system starts to lag. Multiply the total amount of polys and the amount of models there would be in game. 32 players each player model is 2000 polys is about 64000 polys of moving objects lagging up your game. This isnt including the amount of polys in the map, buildings, and other stuff to slow your fps.

    we realy cant change the hole NS game into starcraft godforbid blizzard thinks its a mod of there game... thats why i sad a model pack becouse it <u>wouldnt be a mod</u> and there for blizzard cant do **** .. we should just do characters and wepions ////// and if u want to change everything it basicly cant look like the starcraft world or else blizzard will p.m.s like they did to starcraft 3D

    Legal Information, solves some of your basic problems about Copyright Infringement. Basically, the model pack is for personal use, we aren't distributing anything for profit, and as long as you put information about Blizzard, I don't think they'll do any legal harm to you all.

    you wont see 32 player at at time that often probably 16 at the most so high poly doesnt really matter for NS

    ok, now that we have this awesome marine model, we just need to convert it to NS, and we have to reduce the polys., shouldn't be too hard a job for modelers to convert it.
