<b>
Several notes:

(*) This program was not made to replace ASE, but to work with it. It was also never intended to work <i>without</i> it, so you must <a href='http://www.udpsoft.com/eye' target='_blank'>D/L</a> it first! You use ASE to find the servers you like, then import them to MM, which gives you better control on them. (ASE is a free shareware, which means you can use it free but won't have some advantages)

(*) As for now, MM doesn't support cstrike-retail. If you have it cstrike-retail, contact me (<a href='mailto:eranher@nonstop.net.il'>eranher@nonstop.net.il</a>) so I can make MM work with it.

Definitely worth checking out if you want a fast, intuitive way to modify your config settings.

I still get the same errors I reported to you in the previous beta testing (with the exception that the writing is now readable) and therefore I cannot use this software.

    Sorry,

Setup Bootstrap for Visual Basic Setup Toolkit

Setup Bootstrap for Visual Basic Setup Toolkit has encountered a problem and needs to close. WE are sorry for the inconvenience.

So, the installer dosent work. Perhaps, recompile and re-zip?
well, at least, it dosen't work for me.

Luckily i have WinRAR and could open the CAB and do it myself. Just shouting out for the less technical types that would get this message.

The problems with the current installation will be resolved as soon as I find a new installation program.
The only other problem I know about is that <b>ModMaster doesn't work with cstrike-retail</b> ( if you use cstrike.exe instead of hl.exe, it will not work). The reason for that is simple- I don't have cstrike-retail on my computer.
If you want ModMaster to work with cstrike.exe, you will have to assist me a little. Contact me and i'll tell you how to help.

Can I suggest NSIS as your installer program. It's fairly simple yet produces professional results.

Oh, and most importantly it's free!!

Can I request a feature? well, my only problem with this program is, it doesnt have a favourites list like ASE. I like to have a large list of all servers, and a list of a few servers that I particularly like. Your program is awesome, great work. If it had this feature, Id use your program exclusively.

I don't play CS, but I use the retail version of it to play half-life mods. I can't get your program to work with it, because it looks for hl.exe. Could you make it work with cstrike.exe also?

ASE is free too. It's functionality and priority can be expanded with a financial contribution.

Not really, I've been using it for four months and it still logs on to the ASE servers and updates.
And I didn't pay anything either.

the ASE takes a freakin hour to do the whole scanning procedure. along with connecting to thier servers i also have to get that annoying "we keep our servers for registered users so you gotta WAIT and get a SLOW service". that whole crap takes so much time (i got DSL).
I've got the ModMaster installed and it's much much better. i got all my bound keys set by it and already changed a lot of in-game settings (like cl_autohelp etc) using this prog. and it just scans servers directly so it's much much faster. the scan's taking about 1/5 of the time ASE had to scan. that's it.

    10q for your support.

You don't need to know anything, i'll guide you through. Just contact me:

It seems a bit buggy to me, in fact, your program has just wiped my entire config.cfg file <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Its written in Visual Basic?? My god..
Is it at least using a C-translator to compile much better? The compiler built into visual basic (which ultimately just links to c2.exe anyways) is crap.

I just played around with the program... I could never trust a program this buggy with my precious config files.

To the developer: Im a VB developer as well, I would be willing to join your 'dev team' heh

That's because you're Blackbeard the Menace of the Seven Seas (arrrrh matey). UDP demand a registration after 21 days of evalution. The program does not stop working however. So while they're kind, you're a freeloader.

I dont see the greatness of using ASE to load the list and then importing it in modmaster just to connect from there...
ASE loads the lists faster and have more filters
Plus it supports lots more games..

The things that are most useful about this program is the keybinding and variable configuring part. Credits to developer for that!

I am creating a keybinder too, and atm im in the process of adding support for Half-Life engine games.
Let's see if I can do better than this, though it will be hard <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> Major advantage is that mine is coded in Delphi though, which isnt quite C or C++, but is very powerful as well.

By the way, I already completed a version, but it only supports UT, TO, DA and UT2003.
You might want to check it out at www.keybinding.com. (Don't mind the empty news posts, our coder is on vacation and this bug appeared a few days ago <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> )

Finally, lowclimax, maybe we can work something out about adding your keybinder to www.keybinding.com, since I'm crewmember there.
