ps
yes Im still lurking around the boards :\
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td><b>Quote</b> </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"><!--QuoteEBegin-->The circular icon in the middle shows that you're in overwatch mode. Any aliens that come in there while you're off talking to your girlfriend, typing a teamchat, or grabbing a beer will be fired upon automatically.
<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Apparently the aimbot technology that it uses will be pretty stupid, so don't expect Overwatch mode to become the first NS hack. Although to prevent this it'd be good to make it so Overwatch mode doesn't work if the marine is moving.
The circle for the overwatch will be centered around the center crosshairs, and it's oval shaped, longer in the horizontal direction than the vertical. (<a href="http://www.valvepit.com/index.php?viewshot=newsimages/15-05-2002_nsex_Half-Life_Howling_1.jpg&idshot=150" target="_blank">Screenshot Here</a>)
And don't worry, the overwatch only activates after standing still for a few seconds. It deactivates automatically when you move.
<!--EDIT|Moleculor|May 15 2002,14:00-->
Molec is right - I think DB and I got our wires crossed on which pics we were talking about. The big round circle is for overwatch. That picture shows an order to 'attack this location' sent by the commander (see the little 'splosion in the middle?).
Can you guys recommened any PHL-like sites that aren't disliked for PHL-like reasons. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
I think his question was more 'when they enter the oval' not 'enemies'. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Dunno. That might be what Flayra has planned. Whenever I turned it on in playtests, I'd cover the area I wanted to cover with the oval. But I don't know if that is anything more than a pretty oval.
Would someone PLEASE explain it to me?

i think it's primary use is to reduce the amount of AFK(away from keyboard) kills
And yeah, it's mostly to prevent AFK kills and such. It'll let you get up and get a drink and stuff. Flayra even said that he put it in so he could code while playing. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

The team of Natural Selection, attempting in a species of translation English-Italian (;)) news of new modernizations has sent us effects on the Total Conversion that are carrying to succeeding aim with. The images that they have to us attached in exclusive right will not give space to doubts: if Holy Wars graphically wanted proporsi like mod a much faithful to Quake, Natural Selection is wanted to be quite approached levels to the Unreal Tournament 2003!! To see in order to believe what can still exit outside with the graphical motor by now (and hour I say it:D) obsolete of Half-Life. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Ack, Babelfish really sucks sometimes. The gist of it is, if Holy Wars was designed to take Quake-style gaming to the next level, NS looks to give UT 2003 to people in the HL engine, graphically speaking. Ehhh, I think.

Whatever it is, the pics and HLItalia rock out!
You're brilliant, you know that?

How long doesn it take for overwatch to take over when a marine is in the RCM (Right Click Menu)? You wouldn't expect to be in the RCM for longer than about 5 seconds.
