<div class="IPBDescription">Has it ever been seen before?</div> OMG, I was having a knifing contest the other day and I saw or thought I saw a really awesome idle animation. Since I had no proof, I played by myslef and bots for 4 hours just to get this animation. I had to encode it at lower settings than I wanted to, in order to make it small, but here ya go! I just want to know if anyone has seen it before. It is a .avi encoded with the Divx Codec. Have fun! Tell me what ya think!

    I had difficulty with the video. I've seen that animation before. From what I remember, the idle animations are randomized. You can see it in the Half Life Model Viewer (search for it in Google).

    Only 11 of the 19 seconds worked for me, but if it's the one where he balance's the knife on his hand then, yeah I've seen it, many times.. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah, it didn't work for me with Windows Media player. You have to download it (right click on link and save as), and then watch it with the DivX player..

    worked fine for me. and thats awesome when that happens. i also like when he pokes himself testing how sharp the knife is. heh i never go around wiht my knife out unless i am out of ammo so i hardly ever see it.

    Heh. I like how he makes the knife go around his hand after he tries to balance it on his palm. Maybe if he were to juggle the knife and try to catch it handle first instead of using it to pick his fingers...

    That, and I like how the marine pets the HMG. Good HMG!

    I saw this on release day and its one of the things that sucked me into the game. Most of the time i was running around like a headless chicken going 'WTH do i do with that thing...' and 'why isnt my welder building that new turret'. Like most I had no clue. But then a few hours I was almost ready to stop playing for good because the game was too confusing. Then I decided to just run around and knife my team mates out of boredom and saw the balance on palm animation and i thought 'omg... how cool is that!'. I went back to the gameand started noticing other cool things. Like the first time i saw a Heavy armoured marine and the way he held an LMG with one hand. And the first time any of us saw a jetpacker marine and thought 'WOAH.... cool!'

    If I had not seen the knife animation I would have probably quit a few minutes after messing with the knife and gone back to DoD only to **** and whine about how confusing the game is and how many people say its an 'unbalanced the game'.
