No.
Maybe.

"Just a note-- the official one is going to be replaced in 1.1 if I can get my act together." -BM
I think... maybe
Actually, I just wondered how a grenade can fit through the tiny muzzle opening <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Anyway they're rather small. Which is fine. By what I have seen of them they look like they about twice the size of a real life shotgun shell.
It's spiffy and sleek.

Anyone know what a good polycount would be, to aim for?
KICK ARSE!
The current one sounds like someone kicking an empty film canister down a tile hallway.

Used as an HMG? That's WIERD.
GL for riot control? Rubber high explosives?
I would like to see a riot one too, but that seems way too lowtech.
What's better than a goofily happy Jean-Claude? Damned if I know . . . .
Working on the new model as we speak . . . . much progress has been made. So, you may see a brand spanking new model in 1.1.
This thread really speaks to the diverse set of tastes out there that we struggle to satisfy. In just looking at the varied responses, I think the new one will be met with much the same response as the old:
1) Some people will <i>love</i> it.
2) Some people will <i>hate</i> it.
3) Some people will think it's ok.
4) Some people will not be thrilled with it, but won't be horribly offended either.
5) Some people could not possibly care less either way.
6) The modeling forum will loathe it.

Just preparing you, because now that it's been discussed, the pressure has been turned up a bit. That's the nature of the beast, I suppose. Diff'rent Strokes for diff'rent folks. I can't please you all, but I'll do my best.
Still, I hope most people will at least <i>tolerate</i> it. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
