Ns Glacier Overview

Here's a very rought overview of ns_glacier. I have no scanner so I just took a pic of it with my web cam and then just went over the lines to darken them a bit. Ahem. (Note, vents are not shown in this, because well, I have yet to design the vent system.)
BLue dots are res nodes, red are hives, green is marine spawn, orange colours depict ice caverns.

Quite alot fo those names have been used, try thinking of more original areas that no one has used before. Fro example:
2)SatCom could be Satelite Surveilance Station
10) Waste Handling could be Waste Sivving or if you don't like that Waste Management or Waste Containment.
13) Water Purification could be Liquid Handling or Water Processing.
I do however really like "12) Deflector Control".
If you break that long straight corridors it looks pretty ballanced and original.
One weak point is that CC placement with 2 corridors leading to the same room.
I dont think that is good for gameplay.
I envy your imagination.

But seriously, i may suggest just making it part of another area instead of naming it as a new one if you are having a hard time with it.
One of the challenges in a good map is the wise use of resources. If each team can have half the map for resources then it kind of comes down to who can build the fastest.
Just a thought but you might consider bringing down the count a bit. It makes the map more of a challenge.
