<div class="IPBDescription">in 17.88 Seconds.... W.T.F.</div> I know, that we all know the dreaded Rubik's Cube. This is amazing and don't say it's not.

But seriously, that't not even funny!
But pre-solved or not, that was a crazy video.
Thats ... fast...
fast....
years ago so I guess 17 is more than plausable.
But that mpeg seems a little sped up. That hand to eye
co-ordination was a little too fast. We barely got time to register
what colours were on what tiles before he carried on spinning.
Ahh well, well done to anyone who can even finish one
of those damn things, never mind finish one in under 10 minutes.
there is a new TV program with them on it Transformers: Armada or somthing <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> , anyway i had one of the little ones that went on ur key ring , i hit it with a hammer and glue it back together <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
As for the cubes, one of the Xlocks (kinda like a scrn saver for linux) in my CS lab consists of the computer solving a bunch of different rubix cubes (It simply knows the algorithm and thus can solve any randomly generated on is a few seconds)
btw it took me hours!
By the way, if you think that his hand-eye coordination was too fast, well go out and see a magic show...

fastest BLINDFOLDED = 342 seconds (Ralf Laue)
[edit]I found a site that has a web-based solver and source code: <a href='http://www.wrongway.org/cube/solve.html' target='_blank'>http://www.wrongway.org/cube/solve.html</a>[/edit]
that's all I have to say. lies. or maybe li3s.
WHAT THE HELL!? Man, that's crazy. And why can't you people accept the fact that they suck at the Rubik's Cube and they have to come up with stupid excuses?
ohhhh brain hurts...

Yeah, my brains hurt too! How does it work!?
Unless someone beats me too it, that is <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I do have a significantly less complicated one of Homer Simpson's head, though. It's kinda cool.
By the way, <i>how</i> do you solve one of them blindfolded, let alone in 5 minutes?
Not that I have any skillz to speak of, mad or otherwise....
Yeah, you need Uber Skills for it.
I saw a russian do it <i><b>blindfolded</i></b> on Guiness World Records show. They got a judge and a couple audience members to scramble the cube, then he was given some time to memorize the position of the colours. When he was ready he put on a blindfold and proceeded to solve it blindfolded.
I'm not sure how long it took in total, he would do a quick burst of what looked like 20-30 combination of twists and then he would stop for a minute or two, then do another burst of 20-30 twists. It wasn't timed, he would just declare when he though he got it solved.
I don't remember exactly how long it took but it wasn't that long when he put down the cube and declared it was solved and ofcourse it was.
Now that is mad skillz.
I'm sad now.
