EDIT: And now that I look again were is FA, FireArms for HL, alot of unheard stuff there.
On top of that were did these nominations come from? I have Gamespy as my homepage and have the daily and weekly subscription, hell I even got a coffee cup, when did these nominations come up? I didnt see it?
I have never played BF1942..not that I don't want to, because my terrible comp won't allow me to. But, as far as mods go in general, people will be hard pressed to come up with ideas that would push game engines up and (nearly) beyond their limits in a way NS did. Taking a 4 (nearly 5?) year old engine and sprucing it up pretty like this is no easy task indeed. I already voted earlier today, and it was only at 55 votes. The one BF1942 mod was at about 300 or so.... Well, here's hopin NS brings it home.
NS, NS, NS, ns, ns, ns, ......................

FilePlanet's Poll for Best <span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>New</span> Mod
I don't care <i>how</i> pretty that game looks, it's got nothing on NS. It's DoD with vehicles for chrissakes, NS is the first game of it's kind!

I have Battlefield 1942. I bought it the day it shipped.
It's not until version 1.3 that BF1942 started to feel "professional". Version 1.0 was a freaking joke. It had more bugs then an alpha (but you PAID for this game.... <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> ).
Version 1.1 fixed a few things but the gameplay was still hindedred by literally(sp) thousands of bugs.
Version 1.2 should have been version 1.0.
Version 1.3 is finally an enjoyable game. It should have been version 1.1
Thing is, the vehicules in that game are fun, the maps are big and pretty, but you need a d@mn powerful system to run it at acceptable framerates.
The actual infantry portion of the game is kinda lame. I prefer DoD's gameplay to BF1942 (visit www.dodmod.com). Why? It's simple, the game behaves like you expect it to. BF1942 on the other hand... Battlefield 1942 has ALOT of balancing issues, and the foot soldiers are kinda lame.
The lag of that game is horrible though. If you have a ping of 50 on a BF1942 server, it's the equivalent of 150 on a NS server. If you have 100-150 of ping, it's about the same as 300-400 on a NS server.
That being said, it's still a fun game but that mod isn't better then NS.
(voted)
NS is definately the best mod on that list. Deathball being 2nd, and Max Payne Kung Fu 3rd.
Whatever/whichever ones you have some experience with.
Not that I am trying to decide which to vote for, mind you <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> I voted for NS.
But I'm really interested in what the other mods are about and am unable to download much right now. :/
If this vote wins NS will get some more publicity!
More publicity = more constalation members = more NS development!
Click the green text, their links to the mods sites dude....
and about CS, CS can ... well, let's not say that since I'll get banned from the forums, but I will say that cs sucks and is something I deeply loathe... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
DC - 784 votes, 37.3%
NS - 663 votes, 31.5%
A mere difference of 121 votes!! Come on ppl, flush your cookies and vote again!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

don't let 1942 win!
Not much in it now....
Desert Combat isn't all that new, it was announced shortly after Battlefield came out, and I believe that would place its incarnation (and first beta) right around the time NS debuted.
Me neither. NS all the way.
