Relic = Mapper who explained the situation. TeoH = Grumpy guy who dislikes the over/miss-use of the word exploit, and resents the notion that anything that wasn't in the game developers blueprints must be bad for the game and will corrupt our youth/make your eyes go square/eat all the little sausage-in-bacon things.
You're right though. I do in fact not care if you block the door. Kudos to relic for chosing his wording carefully enough to avoid a 7 page topic on 'exploits' :)
Think about real life then tell me its an exploit. If you put a metal bar in a revolving door it would stop until removed. So in the game if you put a OC in a door or elevator it will stop it, like it was said before if the mappers wanted to make this go away they would increase the damage done. but they havent
He said that in this case, blocking THIS SPECIFIC DOOR was an exploit because he intended it not to be buildable on.
He never said blocking ANY door or elevator was an exploit.
And in fact, as you can see, mappers CAN stop doors being blocked quite easily in this way, so in places where you can block things, it is INTENTIONAL.
Blocking a door for aliens is just like welding a vent for marines, but course a few stupid individuals take the opinion this is an exploit.
Its pathetic how people scream exploiter or llama just because they use something tactically effective. Structures can block doors, get over it, if you cant cope with it, you shouldn't even be playing a game like NS.
