Very nice. If you don't have animations done, make sure whoever does it, to have it move like a snake, and not just have a strait forward movement like nothing it it's body is moving to get it anywhere, that'd be a huge disappointment.
Also, for the skin, add some texture to the brown spots, as was mentioned above. They look a little too smooth for something such as a hydra which is battle hardend <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
And last but not least...I thought the hydralisks shot the acid from their chest... At least that's the perception I got from in game, because those things puff up real big when they start launching their attacks, and I don't think the jaws would be THAT big. If you still play SC, you know what I mean <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
and yeah their chest cavity opens up where their acid spines are produced in them and they explode out, but for animation's sake it would be easier for him to open mouth
