I combine rambo with "ninja." One time, I joined a game on Nancy and saw ominous acid splashes near our spawn. I waited until the Fades ran away to heal, then followed them. In Mess Hall, I caught a Fade and a Lerk healing next to a D chamber. I caught the Fade off guard and killed him my lmg, then took out the Lerk with my pistol. From there, I went up the stairs and ignored the alien RT and hid in a corner. A skulk ran out of Subspace and didn't notice me, so I held my fire. After he left, I ran into Subspace and hid behind the giant pillar to shield me from being seem from the hive. I notified the comm that I was undetected in Subspace, and within seconds a PG appeared. I built it and most of the team jumped through. A turret factory, two sieges, and a furious battle with some upset Fades later, we were on the path to victory.
I know some clans where every player is like Gorebash. Its fun watching those matches .. they're like quickies ..
I lacked total motivation to read your 5 page summary on from what i read in the 1st sentence "YOU are a rambo". This is just to answer the discussion on how long a game lasts... the guy said it would take 30 minutes for 1 game is somewhat COOKIE! 10 minutes is a little short to.. the only way for you to have a 10 minute game is if the marines have more then 6 people... or you get a quick lmg rush off... *skulks must not be working very well* An average match takes ~15-20 minutes...
Just finished a 2 hour 15 minute game on a 20 something player server. It was an absolute blast, slightly spoilt only by the big lag mid game (aliens blamed us for turret farming but I counted and we only set 12 turrets on the whole match the whole game). Well that and we lost
By far by best player was a teamplaying rambo called Hachi-Roacha or something like that, he is a god at this game and I left him pretty much alone holding off a multiple fades, lerks and everything else attack on Waste Handling, I placed an armoury and phase in Research labs and 3 turrets. Every now and then I'd go over and drop him a couple of medpacks. the team backed him from time to time and he backed the team every time he was in sight of them. He followed any order I gave or told me it was a bad idea and refused. No silent wondering off. In hindsight everything he said was right and had I placed a siege in cargo when he said and not trusted 5 jetpack hmg marines to be able to take out 3 turrets and a hive we would have won... instead they all stood on the floor shooting skulks until they died Even Hochi couldn't save them.
It was frustrating that I didn't have one marine in the team other than Hochi who could get the idea of being a single minded killing machine because once we got jp and hmg's all they had to do was get into the hive and take it down, if they's all got just one second of hmg fire on the hive we would have won... we had the odd llama who grabbed a high res gun after making lots of promises and got killed before even leaving base, I trusted him a second time incase he got unlucky but he faired no better.
Thing about a good rambo is he rarely makes promises, in fact you dont really notice him most of the time. Until you realize the aliens still haven't taken that hive or those res towers and your really glad about it because it might just have saved your bacon. when you do notice him give him anything he asks for because it's most likely going to damage the khara's bank balance far more than yours. ith one Hochi and 1 jetpack hochi I could take on the world!
i love having a rambo on my team when i comm, i dont like to call them rambo's tho, much prefer the term " free role " most "rambo's" are good players, and have come from CS. CS doesnt mean much teamwork but it usually guarantees some good aiming skills. there isnt a sweeter sight as comm to see 4 aliens being tied up with one of your marines at some irrelivent location on the map while your other marines secure 2 hives without being botherd. altho you do get bad rambo's once in a while, the good ones will always go for choke points which favour the guy with the gun tram tunnel especially as if aliens are at feed/refinery it cuts off a vital route to your builders in the hive, as we all know its much easyer to kill skulks in the nice long tunnel rather the compact and dark hive area.
Actually i am guesing but it sounds like gorebash plays on servers where the gorges wait until they have 3-4 res nodes before they start building d chambers. Which means you can kill a skukl with pretty much 10 lmg bullets to the head. And 3 pistol round to head. It really isnt very difficult to kill 2-3 skulks with one clip of lmg and 2 skulks with one clip of pistol. Ive done plenty of games where i held the whole alien team inside their base. by spawn killing but usually i wouldnt have to wait long for back up and the hive goes down. Gorebash come to my server sometimes I promise you wont get very far before u get tagged and bagged. If u have a team or clan we can organize a team game or scrimmage a][ vs what u have. That 5 page essay won't mean very much Ohh yeah and that little knifing secret isnt much of a secret if your just going to duck in a corner which is a "hitbox exploit" and is illegal in scrimms btw.

no that wasnt the trick i am talking about. I actually mean circle strafing with a huge sens and gradually narrowing the circle until you are literally standing just to their side then knifing them. Since you are both spinning around each other at light speed the skulk is effectivelly stationary but cant bite you. It's a reliable way to kill most skulkers with a knife - try it...just dont run out of table
I am currently not in a clan because I am a uni student who spends most of his time behind a uni firewall. I play with 100s of students over a network and when I go home I play at home over the net. That is the reason I havent come to show you my skills. Next year though I will be clanning prefessionally and living off campus with a duel asdl a quarter of a mile from an exchange so if your still interested you can ask me then. I am interested in a clan and you sound like a very good clan. Sorry if you thought I was ignoring you.
Oh and in answer to your question of how I play as alien - nearly as well. I also usually hit marines feet dead on with a rocket even if they are dodging - fades are the business. Also if you know how to kill a skulk you also know how to avoid getting killed as one.
Then im a "rambo" or "veterran" or whatever u would call it
I rush the enemys from start and keep em busy, but i allso build building and get res nodes.
but i never beg for eqib cuz i can kill em without!, many noobs think u need HMG to kill aliens, the thuth is if you can hand a LMG the "good" comm will hand you a HMG sometimes. ___ so thats me (^:^) \ / \ / O

G0rebash is a good marine is all. Though a bit of a disobedient one early-game. ;D
