when its done = don't ask, Flay does not give out releasae dates untill it is set in STONE (he understands that things can slip up, and thus there is never any 'known' release)

forinstance, he might have (through divine intervention) gotten EVERY THING exactly right on the first try and the play test will prove this. It will then be out in a week or so.

Or something that he REALLY want's in 1.1 could be much more elusive then he expected and it could take months.

Only time I heard a release announced ahead of actual release was the debut on all hallows evening. IT was announced a week prior to. Since then patches just sort of appeared - sometimes he didn't even tell untill days after <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

but yes, the only release date (actual one) was the one for the 31st

there was a 'before summer ends' release date but that was more of a 'I hope to have it done before the end of summer' wich we all took as before the end of summer ;D

No the 1.0 release was announced shortly before. But I wager the code was done at that time so there was 100% certainty about it.

On the one side, it's most of the people that post here's favorite game, and the changes are shaping up to only make it BETTER, so waiting is nerve wracking to say the least.

On the other.....we'd hate the NS team to turn into Diablo, so maybe they /shouldn't/ tell us. Lest they pull a Star Wars Galaxies and just push it back 3 months...every 3 months.
