Help With A Pair Of Binds

...
I went ahead and had to reinstall half life and ns after building a new comp, so naturally i have the same old problem of my mousewheel weapons switch not working properly (ie, mousewheel up auto-switches weapons, mousewheel down either works properly on marines, or nothing at all on aliens). Does anyone recall the bind commands to correctly bind the mousewheel up to next weapon, and mousewheel down to previous weapon?
Edit - Also, right now with natural selection (due to my snazzy new set up) I get a constant 70fps, no matter what. Obviously this is sufficient, but is there a bind or something i can tweak to up my maximum frames per second? I feel like I've heard somewhere its possible to get higher fps than just that through some tweaking. Thanks!
PS., I did a search, or at least tried to, search seems broke, sorry if this has been posted already.

And the name for mousewheel?
I think it'd be like...
bind mousewheelup "invnext"
bind mousewheeldown "invprev"
I think
bind "MWHEELUP" "invprev"
Straight from my config.
Videogame frames per second are different from film frames per second. I can see and feel a huge difference between 100fps and 60fps when playing NS.

It's mostly psychosomatic. The human eye, unless specifically trained, cannot discern a difference between 60fps and 100fps. Of course, that's a /steady/ 60fps. If your vid card runs at 60 sitting still, and you move/turn, it may drop.. which WOULD be noticable. It's all relative.

It's most likely to be that vsync is set on. Go into your video card setup options, and try forcing it off. This will allow your fps to go higher... but result in nasty 'tearing'. Visual artifacts where the video synchronization isn't fast enough to refresh the whole frame in time, before the next one is being drawn.
I'd leave it on. If you've got a beefy setup, then you'll stay at a *constant* 70fps, which is far more valuable than a fluctuating 100fps. About the only reason to try for 100fps would be to jetpack/speed exploit... and you aren't trying to do that, are you?
I see what you mean however about having the constant 70fps as opposed to a fluctuating 100fps, i'll probably tweak it a bit and see which works best for me, thanks!

Well if you get constant 70fps with a Geforce4MX you'll probably get constant 99fps with a radeon (if it's a 9500 or better).
Wow, haven't heard that one in a while. Thanks Coil!
