I Really Need Some Help Connecting

in New Player Forum
<div class="IPBDescription">pldecal.wad thing</div> I need some help. I can join in a server and go inot the ready room. But when I pick a team it exits the server saying it was looking for a pldecal.wad. Do I need to download this in order to play or something?

    Pretty weird... Well, usually the pldecal.wad is shipped with the mod, but if for some reason its not there, I'll try to attach mine ( default ) on this post, if it doesnt work, PM me and I'll e-mail you the file..


    Oh and just put that file in the /ns folder.

    Wierd. The pldecal.wad is the file that stores whatever your spraypaint image is. Usually if it's deleted HL just cranks out a new one based on what decal you pick in the options. Try that, or try downloading a custom spray from somwhere. <a href='http://www.planethalflife.com/wss/' target='_blank'>Wolverine's Spray Site</a> is a good place to look.

    hey i dunno if you fixed your problem or not, but if you havent try starting ns up and just going into the console and type cl_allowupload 0 , cl_allowdownload 0 , cl_downloadingame 0 .

    basicaly this stops u from downloading and uploading to the server... ussualy fixes things like your prob.

    Yeah, but it also stops your spray from appearing, and stops you seeing other ppls. It doesn't really solve whatever the problem is with the pldecal.wad in the first place...

    oh, lol well i thought it would help because either u or the server wants the .wad, and those commands stop it from asking, i guess, well anyways sorry i couldent help

    The only time I get a pldecal.wad download message is when somone on the server has a custom spray.
