<div class="IPBDescription">Less ammo = faster?</div> <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Humbaba in the Shottie thread:
...Sometimes, it is best not to fully load your shotgun, but instead fill it about half way. The shotgun's shells drastically alter your movement speed and carrying a light load (total, not per clip) may be the difference between dodging an acid rocket and being smashed to pieces. The same applies to the pistol. On some occasions, I have thrown my pistol away for the extra speed boost, however it will leave you completely vulnerable to ranged attacks. The pistol is the shotgunners only defense against Lerks who spike from a great distance.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
So if you're carrying 10|10, you will run faster than if you were carrying 10|30 ?
Or if you have no pistol, you'll run faster than if you had a pistol? Even if you have your shottie out the whole time?

BlueGhost
I thought he was referring to the actual fall though, like accelerating quicker down because you had more weight, not running out of thrust. My bad
No more going 10|50 for me, it's 10|20 from now on. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Once i was playing ns_eclipse and i had a jp and hmg, but i didn't have a pistol (because i was placing mines in our base)
And i was wondering why iam walking that fast with hmg
/me is confused.
mass doesnt affect falling speed in real life. weight is mass times gravity.... how are halflife physics lacking ??
edit: does anyone kno if i drop my LMG while i ahve 250 bullets for it, do the bullets stay on my person or am i freed completely of LMG weight? imagine having full GL ammo, HMG ammo, LMG ammo and pistol ammo, and just carrying a welder and knife.
However, assuming the jetpack power output stays the same, more mass would make it less efficient.
Just grab some and head out. If your comm is doing their job well, he'll supply when you call for it, and besides its not like you'll survive half the time with to use all that ammo you store up on. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
