<div class="IPBDescription">Whatever it is, i didnt do it!</div> Noticed some police-tape surrounding the building i live in. 20 minutes two fully armed police guys sporting black skimasks walked by my window (i live on the bottom floor). OK... turn on the news, some guy with a gun has barricaded himself in the sairs next to mine and they cant get him out of there.

Probably not a big deal if you live in the states, but this is friggin Sweden. You know.. polarbears, woodenshoes and bloody ABBA... WTF???

I went to see Bowling for Columbine the other night and thought good thing i live in safe ol sweden.. oh well..

    My old neighbors and I were driving home from something one time, and the guy driving had just gotten a new radar detector, so we decided to try it out and went about 100 on the highway.

    All of a sudden, EVERY channel on this thing started going off, so we slowed down.

    We drive by a Waffle House, and there's 3 counties worth of cops, SWAT, and ATF circled around it. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I still have NO idea what was going on in there, but it must've been big.

    lol, I live in NYC, I never have these types of thnigs happen to me. (Ok I live in queens, we are like the boonies of NYC)

    meh, I think all of the crazy people are trying to get away from us now. Next it will be canada that starts getting invaded with crazy poeple, hell we never here stories of random crazy stuff coming outa Cnada (just wierd)

    You should never make blanket remarks about another country.

    1. Yes, we have stupid overobvious warning labels. But only because our legal system allows just about anybody to sue anybody else for just about anything. So it's go-tard protection for the big corporations.

    2. Killing spree's happen, but not that often. I guess that's the price we pay for the right to bear arms. You can't exactly go on a killing spree with a digireedoo.

    3. Local TV News usually doesn't need to cover world isses because the last time I checked I had access to no less than 4 channels dedicated to news that are more than happy to cover world events. Not to mention the thousands of internet sites that cover worldwide news reporting. Now that every Joe Nobody in the U.S.A. has access to the internet it's not big business to report stuff people probably already know on the local news because it would drive down the going rate for commercial time.

    4. What's wrong with the NRA ?

    Bowling for Columbine is the best movie/documentary i've seen in a long while.

    The NRA is a bunch of gun-nuts who think the only reason the gov't isn't tyrannical is because the citizens are armed.

    and the local news doesn't have time talk about world affairs, too many local sports....thats why I watch good ol' BBC on Public Broadcasting Station.

    I used to live in a **** neighborhood, one of my friend's mom came home one day (divorced parents) and tried shooting his dad. Then one time a guy held hostages in apt's across my street, there were cops, firetrucks, ambulances 3 blocks away.

    Thats a picture of one of the Swat dudes outside my appartment that I grabed from the local newssite (slightly modified by my CS-clan buddys)

    Around 19.00 ther cops entered the gunmans apartment, and found him asleep on his couch. He was arrested without complication. Thankfully noone got hurt in this little episode.

    I live in sweden, but im actually a US citizen. My dad is from Texas (no really) and the law in 1978 was that i inherit his citizenship no matter where i live. So as an American, im glad to see someone like Michael Moore to step up and make a movie like this. Guncontrol... please??

    Myself and 7 of my associates are members of the NRA, and we aren't in it because we have to fight off the American Federal government because they are going to become tyrannical and opress us.
