That sweet little gem of a game should be in my hands tomorrow! Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Who's gonna be playing a game for 24 hours straight? Oh yeah. Oh yeah.

    Morrowind pales in comparison to the new Resident Evil for Gamecube. It is so much fun, and I almost ###### myself at the shark part. Youll see.

    As I don't have a GameCube... I won't.

    And Morrowind r0xx0rz Resident Evil. Can you just -ignore- the storyline in RE and do whatever you want? No. Can you in Morrowind? Yes. Morrowind > Resident Evil.

    I recommend Dungeon Siege as well.  Here is the Official Games To Play of Liquidscript List™:

    -Halo
    -Dungeon Siege (full version, i've played the demo)
    -Neverwinter Nights
    -Unreal II
    -Unreal Tournament II
    -Warcraft III
    -Jedi Knight II
    -Grand Theft Auto III <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Those games are ones I'm wishing to play.  Along with Morrowind, which looks really sweet as well.

    Dungeon Siege suxx0rz. I have it. I regret buying it. Diablo was less repetative. And it actually had some replay value.

    Halo I want.
    NWN I want.
    Not too sure about the two Unreals... Unreal wasn't that great, and I don't play UT that much.
    Not sure about WarIII either.
    Already have JK2. Run my own server occasionally, and generally slice and dice with the best of them. Two years of JK1 experience payed off.
    Yeah. I want GTA3 too.

    eeeek unreal not that great?<!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->??
    Thsi game has some of the best maps out there and it really pushes you in the action, and has nice music, UT is all about action, but i prefer unreal for it has a story
    Oh and I'm getting an X-box or PS2 since i don't have a dvd player and i ca nuse them to play them <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Warcraft 3 is awesome. Neverwinter nights looks pretty sweet also, and DS is a blast. I prefer Diablo 2: LoD though. Ill be picking up Morrowwind for the Xbox when that comes out, but until then my pleasure will be had in killing zombies.

    what's so great about morrowind?  I haven't even heard of this game before.... what is everyone so excited about?  And Dungeon siege doesn't suck, it's pretty good actually.  Mole, can I have your copy please?

    Soldier of Fortune II, have you guys played the MP test yet? it looks pretty solid.

    UT II has a story line to it.... i read about it in PC Gamer, but it was so unimportant that i forgot it already <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    Whatever happened to the new Duke Nukem and Doom III?

    I've heard of this "morrowind" before, but I'm not quite sure what it is

    Shoot me

    I'll reiterate...

    What exactly is this Morrowind?  RTS, FPs, RPG?  Website? It sounds like it may be somewhat interesting.  Can anyone enlighten me?

    I am *cough* getting it, soon I'll have it . But the graphics dont look too great, in fact they look like Asheron's Call graphics, which really sux.

    Yes, Trunks, SOF2 is awesome. Graphics are sweet. Reminds me a lot of Q3A, which is also awesome. There are a lot of Q3A haters on these forums but I'll state loud and clear:
    I love Quake 3 Arena <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
    I still haven't bought JK2, sux for me.

    Graphics... don't... look.... GREAT? My god man... what ARE your standards if these graphics don't look great? The trees don't look like plastic, there aren't really any 'flat' things where there shouldn't be... the land is curvaceous, the water ripples, the weather is realistic (none of this instantly raining stuff) and the models are fantastic! Lips and eye movement!

    Morrowind is fun.

    Halo is ok, it's fun for a while, but some of the later levels are insanely stupid.

    Dungeon Seige annoys me, there's only three stats and four skills.  Too simplistic for my tastes.  Diablo had more depth.

    Neverwinter Nights looks very promising.
  • ChromeAngelChromeAngel Join Date: 2002-01-24 Member: 14Members, NS1 Playtester, Contributor
    The best thing about the dungeon siege demo was the way it handled woodland, the best i've seen in a game.  However DS was soooooo boring.

    Between that and Diablo 2 i've been put off CRPGs, for a couple of months at least.

    /me wonders if he should purchase Morrowind for the PC or Xbox...

    Opinions?

    /me is also <i>really</i> looking forward to Project Ego.
  • The_FoolThe_Fool Join Date: 2002-04-08 Member: 386Members
    That depends entirely on how the Xbox controls are set up, and how game saves are handled.

    That, of course, being my biggest concern. Otherwise, I'd probably be much more comforatable playing it on the console. To me it's more involving that way. *shrugs*

    /me wonders if MonsE has tried his hand at it yet (on the xbox), and has any opinions <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    PC.

    XBox is l4me. Besides, I heard the XBox release was pushed back yet again... (sure, a day, but they initially said they'd be released simultaneously... now they're two weeks apart, and moving even farther apart).

    *whipsh*

    And yes. The moons DO move. And yes. They do end up in different parts of the sky at different parts of the year.

    And yes, there is the possibility of the location of the moons effecting things such as conjurations and the like.
