<div class="IPBDescription">wooty, I like it...</div> I recently took some shots from the marine start and a hallway just outside in my new map, ns_goliath, which takes place in the public transitways/mines/sewers on a planet owned by a company named Goliath, Inc. What do you think?

make the stair-steps smaller.
Oh, and don't add too much color, it would ruin that scary feeling.

Yeh...The stars look awkward.
Bright adversiting signs? Are you sure that lit billboards will go well with dark corridors?
Then again, very dark maps are too much in aliens' favour.
How about a (few) vending machine(s)?
"Not that, you idiot! The armory's over there!"
You would get better contrast lighting with a larger number of smaller lights.
Are the doors presence activated? I ask because I can't see any switches there.
Beware big adverts, they could eat up your texture memory. It really does need something to add colour to these grim shots.

Here's my advice which runs contrary to Chromeangel's
More, smaller lights will decrease contrast. It tends to spread out the lighting and make it less harsh. One or two spots, plus some faint texture lights for details (computer screens, light rings around doorways, whatever) is best.
As for advertisements, my suggestion is to chop up a 256x256 into sections for more than one advertisement, sort've like a model skin. Then just align and stretch to match the sign dimensions. Also make four 64x64 textures which are just white noise, and have them loop as an animating series. This way you can throw in broken advertisements here and there to fill in the gaps.
EDIT: if theres any advirtisements you would like to have, feel free to post em in this topic
