Mine Bugs

<div class="IPBDescription">Tournament Mode, Mines</div> Hehe, just count on lagger to find some more wierd bugs in this great game <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. Well, here it goes: Mines, what a wonderful and cheap source for defense! UNTIL THEY KILL YOU MUAHAHAHA, i'm serious here though. My team, eR, played again HAM today and we put 2 sets of mines withen are base. After 3 of us leave the mines blow up for no reason killing 2 of are people..... Not sure of the cause so we assumed it was a glitch etc... This happened 3 times during the match, and we had a chain reaction from 1 skulk blowing up one and dying (I though chain reactions were deleted although i'm not sure). So, i'm just taking expierenced observations on this and just polling peoples own expierence with mine <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->.

NOTE: this was in tournament mode and i've never seen these same things in pubbing

    Friendly fire... doesnt make the mines randomly explode when the marine walk over them

    Mine explosions will daisy chain, I believe, so if one explodes too close to another one, both of them will blow up. I don't know if mines have 'health' per se, but if they do, then friendly fire could also cause them to explode, aside of an alien tripping them.

    I always wondered how mines worked in tourney mode. I always thought it a bit odd that mines didn't go off when I passed through them, just thought it was because FF was off. Can anyone clarify if mines do go off if Marines touch them in tournament mode?

    I'm pretty sure they took off chain reactions for mines in 1.4.. although i'm not 100% on this one <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. Also the mines went off when my commander dropped a hmg.. (kinda sucked since i lost my jetpack and almost my hmg before i spawned back). So i'm just pointing out maybe you should look into the code for mines going off from spawned weapons/healthpacks etc..
