Custom Sprays Screw Up Ns

<div class="IPBDescription">Black screen/disconnection</div> I've tried to make a custom spray for NS ("Maveric waz here." sort of message) and i've done it successfuly in OTHER mods like Sven and CS, but when i transfer (copy/paste) the spray from CS/Sven or i test a new one in a NS LAN game, I GET A BLACK SCREEN.

Also, when i connect to a server the bloody thing disconnects me, or when i spray it's replaced by the HL symbol, even though i didn't go into the cusomize screen!

What am i to do? am i missing a console command or am i not doing something right?

    Just to mention, i use wally too. I've done it befor, and it works perfectly.

    As far as a HL symbol, that's the default if the server has custom sprays disabled.

    NM i got it now. i had more than 256 colors which is more than 8-bit which HL cant use. <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> bloody restrictions.

    If a server has sprays disabled, how to you enable them again?

    Contact the admin of the server. It is a GLOBAL setting on the server and not a CLIENT SIDE setting (although you can set it to not send your spray to the server in your CONFIG.CFG). The next time you go to a server where thay are allowed, it will work.

    oh, and that is a good way of getting rcon removed from you

    don't screw with server vars unless you know the admin/owner will not get **** at you
