How Do You Go 36 - 4 As A Skulk?

Ok, I'm not one to brag but I've been playing NS since it was released and I consider myself an above average player. I'm far past the noobish stage. Today though, on an unnamed server, I was confronted by a player that went 36 and 4 as a skulk. He played NOTHING but skulk the entire game. I know how to aim, and I kill my fair share of skulks, but I put entire clips into this guy at point blank aim while he munched a turret and he STILL manages to kill me and 4 other marines standing around. Turrets shot at him, we shot at him, we cursed at him, but could not kill him. I've noticed this on BOTH sides of the coin too, in the past few days there always seems to be one guy here or there that just can't be killed by normal means. Yesterday it was a Marine that seemed resistant to skulk bites!
I haven't seen this type of thing until recently and I know my skills can't e that bad. Nothing unbalances a game more than one guy able to take out your entire team without a scratch.
This isn't a whine or a gripe but rather a inquiry as to whether I'm the only one seeing this recently?

I usually go gorge and get ungodly score-counts, merely because I build and attack accordingly.
as a marine, learning how to trace(follow) a skulk's movement pattern is the first step to winning the game, if you can't do that, you can't win.
I know I'm not Skulk in any of these, but I had to use Skulk to get here, and most of my kills are as Skulk.
I suspect it was highly annoying to the players, in one stage i got 22 marine kills in a row as a skulk without dieing. (no not all at once and yes with lv3 carapace.)
Perhaps sum players deliberately exploit settings within the HL engine. In fact im sure they do as was the case in CS. (default rate and cl_update, cmdrate etc vs a player who tweaked them?)
Doctored image. The 77 is misaligned and all the kills on the alien team do not add up to the marine deaths. Sorry, try again.
do u guys do a mix of both.. like bite their feet a few times then jump around and bite them above?
cuz i think im jumping too much so its easy to hit? i really dunno... my skulking is decling while my aim for marines is pretty good now
Oh, that, and KNOW the vent systems. Coming out of a vent behind some marines is the best possible place for a skulk to be.

In conclusion, score != skill .
And to answer your real question (how can a skulk be so skilled), there are a few things:
- Carapace 3
- Only getting into fights you think you can win or at least take down 1 or two marines
- Proper positioning. If you sit on the floor right behind a corner, when you hear the marine coming, you can jump off the floor and into their face right before they get around the corner, giving you all the advantage you need.
- Using sound and vent routes properly to find and kill straying marines
As for the score part:
- Go back and heal often
- Never get in a fight you might die in
- Hide until your team gets 2+ hives
- Don't finish off the enemy if you can, let them live to get a better score
