<div class="IPBDescription">Read on...</div> I'm not much of an Alien person, and I bet this has been posted many times before,b ut whenever I join a game it seems like this tactic is OVERLOOKED.
Now, I suck at Games. All games <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> But I once got SEVEN kills in a row! How you ask?
Simple.
Skulks can climbs walls. Skulks can climb on the roof. Early int he game, head to the enemy base (or near it) Hide out on the roof, and when you see a group of marines walk by, drop down and tear 'em a new one!
And it's halarious to watch the WHOLE team just walk right under you. It's like they never look up!
A simple tactic that is almost always overlooked. Well, enjoy.

its very true... marines tend to be like mindless sheep.... they dont take much initiative....
well
dunno.. my skulking use to be EXCELLENT...
but lately... its been failing me... im not sure if my sensitivity is too hi or too low.... cuz i either seem to be overtargeting or running right past...
ny tips when u get up close? thx <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Matrixesque: This is the style that I use, it involves very little hiding for extended periods of time. When you have a marine in your sights, you charge towards them bouncing in and out of their line of fire, relying on the firing cone of the weapon, the randomness of your movements and your own reflexes to keep you alive. Like the name of this style suggests, you do alot of matrix style wall jumps when you are closing in on your target. When you become skilled in this style, you can land in the middle of a squad of marines and take out most if not all of them while only taking 1 or 2 hits.
Gurrilla: With this style Bite is almost reduced to a secondary weapon by parasite, because you parasite any marine that comes your way, before even thinking about attacking him.In this style, most of your time is taken up with hiding in corners and finding and moving to another hiding spot. It is rare for a duel to last more than 15 seconds.
Kamakazi: like the name suggests, this tactic tends to kill you alot. it is only effective when done as a group or when done repeatedly.
There are more, but those were the only ones I could think of
oh wait.
At the begining i rush the marine (the 2 kills are often at this time <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and chomp the infantry portal.
When the game is advanced, i chomp the radar, or the outpost of marines.
And after i'm going lerk and protect fades or spy and destroy batiments in hidding me <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I actually thought I'd get flammed for this, but I'm happy to see all the positive posts!

uhhh youd need 3 hives to do that <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> so like... who cares? three hives!!! (wooh)
My best is 8 but ive also had plenty of 7 marine kills also! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Personally i prefer bieng skulk no matter how many hives the aliens get.... This pic shows a rather good game i had where i played exclusively as skulk!

Hahaha... VERY well said. If the marines have decent aim, no amount of running/jumping will make them miss you, even with celerity, as skulks just do not move fast enough. Distance is key. Closer you are to the marine before he starts shooting, the greater chance you have of living.
Not exactly true. It is perfectly possible if you evade well enough (ie making use of the walls and ceiling, my favoured manouveur is a spiral) to evade marines with pretty good aims. It is, however, hard, and if you do kill the marine(s) you will usually be pretty badly harmed <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->.

He means that you just charge at them.
No divine wind used.
I have no sense of self-preservation. I'll die and die and die and come back for more. My life for the swarm, and all that.
'Course... while the marines are busy chasing me around, they usually don't notice the Lerks that followed me sneaking into sniping positions...
