    I think I'm going to have to try for the round after this one (1.2? 2.0? whatever it'll be labeled)... I'm only 2 months into a 4-5 month cycle and there's no way I'm hitting the deadline.

    Well, not from scratch, I've got the marine spawn and a hive already finished, so I've got some sort of a jump....heh, at the very least this should be one helluva mapping spree!! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    hehe, im mapping the whole day, i have 2 PCs, with my 2400+ im mapping and with the P4 2000 im compiling.... and i had 3 weeks 4,5 days weekend and i only mapped... yea.. now i have a nice map, today or tomorow you will be able to download ns_napo_b3 (you will see... its MUCH better than b2)

    OMG, I've got 7 rooms (one way from marine spawn to the first hive) and I think I won't finish it in two weeks.

    prevoiusly _pot but that sucked.
    maybe _complex (or _mine) because thats what it is.
    today a wonder happened, I closed leaks and optimized it like hell.
    If some more wonders happen a playtestable map will be ready.
    its a huge map with 3 levels that cross each other sometimes (bit not always connect) .
    -> the map looks larger.

    description (what you can "see"):
    the southern stuff (ignore the purple lines, thats junk) is rhe Ready room. an airlock to the mine. on the southern free space an open port will be build.
    left and right of it are the 2 (!) possible CC places.
    the northern is the reacor room (hive) the larger green circle is a v1.2 siege radius (!!!)
    southwest and southeast of it is a nano-factory.
    left side is a mine-shaft hive (not build blank room not)
    right side is the third hive, the comm station.
    the rest is... secret.

    I've got MS mostly done, a hive done, 1 room done, 1 room semi done, a corridoor done, RR done. So i have kinda a headstart, but i wont finish it in time.

    well since 3 weeks i map every day for about 8 hours and uhm... have a marine start, a double res room and one and a half hive. additionally some corridors. but alas i wont ever make it to this deadline, too many "restarts" if you know what i mean <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm obviously not aiming for a deadline. My marine start is about 60% done, and the basic layout for the rest of the map is somewhat completed, but it's rough.

    I did a little bit of hammering earlier today and pushed the room completion from 40% to 60%, but that's an approximation. I might scrap it and start over (<i>again!! - that'd be ns_frostbite, take 4</i>). <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    <edit> I have done all the structure work and am just missing vents. I have also done about 85% of the texturing and about 60% of the lighting.

    Bleh...well, after three sizteen hour days infront of VHE I don't think I'm going to be able to pull this off. I'm going to hold off for the next update/submission deadline. I don't want to bust **** through this and have a level that isn't up to par with the official maps. So, I'm going to take my time, plan things out, think everything through and hopefully have a level thats good enough for subbmission....ah well...*sighs*

    heh ive just mapped for ~14 hours straight, forsaking sleep for the night and getting around 20-30% more completed on containment... now the full percent completage climbs to 67% ... 2 hives, one spawn and not even using a strict layout to follow... im kinda impressed by my own memory <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
