Resident Evil Ns Mod

<div class="IPBDescription">Idea for a ns mod</div> I was just thinking about ns and i thought it would be very nice to see a Resident Evil mod of it. At the very least just a skin pack with new maps.

Marines:

- Marines are now SCARS members or possibly Umbella Operatives trying to destroy their experiments
- Marines have modern weapons more like those seen in counter-strike (mp5s,shotguns,berrettas, poss flame thrower etc)
- Instead of command chair a laptop terminal
- Remote cameras could be set up to monitor locations
- Extra equipment saved for such as nightvision, body armour, laser sight, grenades
- Marine commander locations must be access points such as lifts, vans, entrances so backup (respawn)seems more realistic
- Research anti-virus to weaken monsters


Aliens:

- Primary hive (red queen) if destoryed marines win
- Secondary hives obtained for upgrades as usual
- Aliens mutate instead of evolving
- Skulls are now Dogs infected with the virus
- Gorge can contruct traps using computer system slowing down marines
- Gorge third skill (may require full adrenaline) a infecting bite turns marine characters into zombies who must be killed by fellow marines to respawn
- Gorges play a similar roll building up alien defences
- Fades now zombies with high hp, damaging spit and good hand to hand combat, and slow movement
- Onos unique mutations depending on which path of upgrades chosen


General features:

- Breach of a virus has created mutated creatures
- STARS or UMBRELLA (depending on map location) are sent in to destroy all evidence of the virus
- Maps are locations such as Racoon city centre, Underground Hive Complex, Mansion, Helicoper crash site, Sewers
- Third hive up triggers NPC zombies in certain areas (low hp/damage)
- Taking over computer terminal can trigger NPC's marines to hold areas (low hp/damage)

    This would be modelling forum not here?this is Suggestions and ideas forums for something new in NS,not mods for it,and you arent allowed to make mods on NS engine without flayras permission.

    Ya know what? I don't really like your idea.. Im not sure why, it just doesn't sound right. Especially the guns part. It doesn't seem NSistic enough... It could be a whole different mod.. Just not NS.

    sounds very good idea for an other mod,but not mod for NS,i saw the movie,i liked that Ghoul(looked quite same as Ghoul in warcraft3,that In Re it looked exactly like it,but diffrent skin but same kind of tongue,body shape but it was like dog,i cant get screenshots but that would be perfect skulk replament,as that thing could walk walls).

    This forum is about suggestions for NS. Asking people to make a mod-of-the-mod should be done somewhere else.

    Xect beat me to it. This is a request for an entirely new mod, or at the very least some insane amount of modeling. So yeah, not here.

    Skulk - Licker or so
    gorg - the monster who create lil worms and so from RE 2 at the stage with the chessfigure-mistery i think.
    lerk - a big ugly mutation from an eagle
    fade - maybe the nemesis with roketlauncher, or hmm i have forgot how the end-boss in RE 2 is calling.
    Onos - an ugly mutation of a rhino, or something,

    u shuddnt be asking for a mod! people will think that its a totaly new mod!

    DONT ask for thing like this, i u want RE models, make a thread. title <u>[mreq] Res Evil models</u>

    plus sum people dont have the time for this, ive asked for models before, but ive lernt that u gotta make em ur self, the nothing more pleasing than seeing a model grow from your workmanship!

    <b>EDIT</b> also seeing that was your first post, u shud of look at the forums before u signed up and suggested this, i dont think many people from now on will take u seriously

    i worked on re-te, the history was that people said that re-te's skinner used screenshots as skins, this was denied, and subsequent flamage posts were printed in both mods forums. i worked on re-te about a 1 and a half, to 2 years ago and its still not done.

    There's a Resident Evil mod for HL called "The Escape." If it's still alive, it's probably not finished. When I was *ahem* "working" on the "Return to Raccoon City" mod for Returrn to Castle Wolfenstein [later renamed at my request to "Black Sonata" when we changed engines to SoF2, shortly after which it "died"], many RE:RtRC team members had hard feeling for RE:TE. I wasn't in on the history there, so I don't know what it was about. It's a shame it bellied-up, though.
