It's an artifact from before release. The dev team took it out because they couldn't get it balanced.

It was originally intended for n00bs who wouldn't shutup about how bad they wanted a shotgun. The code name for this was "nuke". It took advantage of a security hole in all versions windows, connected to the offending n00b's computer and made it explode. Some versions of this program actually made the screen very dark as to draw the noob closer to the screen. Everything was going fine until an accident cause the injury of an innocent pet gerbil. Needless to say, the NSPCA got involved and Flayra had to scrap the whole thing.

No seriously though, I'm not too sure. I think they were gonna have some kinda nuke thing but decided it was too hard to balance. Do a search. I know there's a few other threads about it.

It was a structure the marines could build, which the comm could detonate with devastating effect. Or so I've read.

without that cushy leather seat you'd have to rotate commanders every five minutes <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

cushy leather seat = 2 hr games, hehe

    Just slightly off-topic but...

The marine commander should have a Last Ditch weapon, a pocket nuke. To use it destroys EVERYTHING within the old siege range, including humans and their buildings. Can only be activated when all IP's are gone and only the Command Chair remains.

and it was a removed command, balance issues.

That sounds cool. The comm chair should have scuttling charges installed in that cushy leather seat <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
