Ha/hmg != God Mode

Recently I've seen many comm using the tech strat, and teching up to either ha hmg or jp hmg. Anyhow the thing is many marines seem to believe that once they have ha they've some kind of God-Mode on, so they run around bouncing and just being stupid and dying all the time. I will tell you one thing, Ha is not equal to God-Mode and you're a moron who's not even fit to be human not to forget wasting the comm's money and his time.
So when you do have ha/hmg use it as it's very valuable and for **** sake weld it.......

Agreed, not only is a waste of resources to keep equiping morons, you lose a tactical advatage for the sake of a welder. Duh.

On the other hand, theres nothing more satisfying than a fresh canned human. MMMmm tasty! and fresh!

He obviously wasn't using the tech strat properly. It's not just about getting ha and hmg, in fact, he should have been more focused on weapon and defense upgrades. I've taken out three fades with a shotty and full upgrades on a single suicide run. Gots to love da shotty.

Oh, and I didn't have ha.

Normally, if a comm manages to equip you with HA/HW/Welder you SHOULD repeat SHOULD be in GOD-Mode. This means that you SHOULDNT die. I have posted many times about the effectiveness of HA. Just try sticking together, start whelding a MArine if you want to be welded too, and leave Comms resources so he can equip another of your mates. DONT DIE! 25+25+10 is too much for your team to be able to spent every freaking minute on you!

Fall back and get that welding done!

I think the only times I've died as HA+HMG is either if were being totally over run and the Comm is handing them out in desperation, or I seperated from a group to finish off that wounded Fade. In this position it is suprising easy to be killed eispecially because of the HA's slow reload and retreat speed, as well as your inability to kill a single Umbra'd Lerk (unless REALLY lucky with a knife). Same thing with Onos, it is VERY easy to succumb to "blood rage" <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> and lose your cool. Just stick in a group with welders and GL's and you are almost invincible <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

The only thing that can kill a good group of HA/HMG/GL/Welders is to get a really good group of Lerk/Fade/Gorge - but you need to get lucky even so (which is as it should be - the alien group costs less in res).

Hmm.. "welded together" is the literal translation of the Swedish word for working well together - sammansvetsad. JFYI.

Oh how i love those stupid HA/HMG guys when i am lerk. like when you meet 2 HA guys with LMG all alone and chomp them to a pile of scrap metal with 50 res gone. and althoug its harder you can kill a HMG/HA guy that is alone too and that is also 50 res gone soo.... , DON'T GO ALONE WHEN U HAVE HA/HMG FFS

I have already seen many games lost due to the fact that HA/HMG/Welder was given to the wrong person in the marine team.

The only way to push back the 2 hive aliens is to have a coordinated Ha/Hmg squad that constantly welds each other as they slowly move to one of the hives to set up shop there.

I played a game last night. The alien team wasnt very good. We secured 2 Hives and could upgrade to full capacity. THEN I couldnt believe it, but every HA guy (=whole team) was doing
S-H-I-T! They ran around like idiots, instead of keeping together, /me screaming in the backround, they would all die if i didnt spam them with HP and AP. And I was thinking... if we didnt have both hives, and they were facing fades... omg it would be a defeat...

I commanded a game once on NS_nancy and we managed to get 2 hives locked down tight and had all our upgrade, about this time my to clan buddies left to go to work etc but I though "hey we have a full team of marines kitted out in HA, welders and either HMG or GL easy victory". Oh how I was wrong <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'> once they got their new toys they went off on their own and didn't weld each other none of them would listen or follow waypoints it was a nightmare. Due to the hives we controled being empty of marines the aliens managed to work down a couple of turrets to create a blind spot. None of the marines would go to the hive in question, they were to happy chasing skulks with their HMGs while spamming the request key for a medpacks.

So I did the only thing I could I recycled the spawns and logged out and left the server.

speaking of newbie ha's.... the other day i was gorge with adrenaline and carapace, and only one DC behind me, managed to take down two HA's with repeated web tactic... all the while shouing at my team for backup, i ended up killing them myself.

it was funny, and it was sad.
